daily calorie level
Today I weighed in. I lowered my calorie intake according to MFP. I had previously set my calorie level at 1500 a day. MFP says around 1300 a day. Another website says I should be at around 1900 a day. All I know is the 1300 a day plan does not seem to give me weight loss. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Metabolism

Yummy snack today
Made kids coconut oil popped pop corn. I did melt some real butter (will not put fake stuff on my popcorn) and tossed together. The two cups I had after my workout hit the spot. I will never buy bagged popcorn again :-) It's going in the snack rotation for sure.

The best feeling is...
the feeling that my elliptical machine is no longer a chore. I am no longer super exhausted and I can tell I am getting in shape. I am sweating a lot more and I love that I am doing something for my health. Losing inches and weight is just a bonus :wink:

Trader Joes Is my new fave place
Not only does it cost less but I love the foods and that the portions are labeled so well. It also pleases me that their foods aren't as bad as some of the other "junk" in the big chain stores. Love that place!!!

weighing food
weighing my food has become part of my daily routine. So much so that I swear I must be obsessed. :-) Not really but it has really helped me learn portion control. Sad I never thought about it before when I tried to lose weight.

Orange Tofu (like orange glazed chicken), Whole wheat cous cous, steamed broccoli or maybe roasted brussel sprouts. After I try recipe tonight I will share.

Yummy snack salad
Had a long 60 minute workout and I was hungry. Almost went for chips or some other quick carb. Instead I ate this. 1/2 cup canellini beans 1 persian cucumber 1/4 cup carrots 1 ounce FF feta 1 tbsp ranch dressing (the full fat version as I use it to count my oil intake) It was filling, crunchy, creamy and satisfying.

Got on scale this morning and I am down another pound. Don't weigh in officially until Sunday but it is enough for me to keep motivated tonight and tomorrow. Friday and Saturday are difficult days for me. I always seem to run amuck.

Chobani yogurt
