Ready to Start
I love lifting, but have avoided it lately because I am sick of New Rules of Lifting work-outs and don't think I can face one more. I definitely need something new. I have heard the term Strong Lifts before but never checked into it until tonight. I read up on it a bit, downloaded the app for my phone and joined you all…

Bad *kitten* Wanted
I want some bad *kitten* MFP friends of all ages. Please apply if you meet the following requirements (or if you are in school working on it...lol). Do you work out hard and often and love it? Do you NOT make excuses? Do you NOT nag and complain about the ridiculous amount of fun we are all having with getting back…

Ready to Kill It!!
After several months of being a complete lazy hog, disregarding MFP, polluting my body by eating tons of chips, ice cream, pizza, beer, etc... and staying as far away from the gym as possible, I am ready to be a BEAST again! I have experienced great success with MFP and am ready to resume that path starting NOW. I deleted…

Who's Ready??
Just ordered the Myotape and calipers combo from Amazon. They won't be here til middle of next week so I'll get my measurements for tomorrow as best I can and then revise if necessary when my proper tools arrive. I'm really looking forward to getting started tomorrow. Not looking forward to getting on the scale, but we…

Do Mike and Ikes count? Looking for "clean" friends! :)
Hi guys, I have been on MFP for over a year and I really love it. I found it very easy to get motivated and stay focused with MFP as a tool. Over the last couple of months I have grown lazy. I still work out, but not as religiously as a few months ago. Lately I have started not giving a crap about what I eat. My best…

Play Station 3 game suggestions
I am looking for suggestions for PS 3 games for my 10 year old son. He had been playing Wii for a few years and just recently got a PS 3. I allowed him to buy Modern Warfare 3 and now that I am convinced he won't become a serial killer for playing it I want to let him expand his horizons a bit. He really enjoys MW3 and I…

Accuracy of Calories Burned
I use a Polar heart rate monitor every time I exercise, I love the thing and wouldn't want to be without it. I have noticed on these boards what seems to be many times some VERY high calorie burns. For example, "Using a lint roller on my clothing" 30 minutes, 750 calories; or "Shucking corn" 15 minutes 350 calories. I…

More water...
I drink whey protein mixed with plain water. Can I count that water toward my daily consumption or do we only count pure unadulterated water? What's the word my peeps? If I drink any more water I will never get anything accomplished because I will spend all of my time traversing back and forth to the restroom. :)

New Rules of Lifting Friends Wanted
Hey there, Is anyone here following the NROL? I just finished the "break-in" part of the program and am on my rest week this week before beginning the second phase next week. I'm looking for friends who might be doing this as well. Thanks!

The weekends are killing me!!
I need a strategy for the weekends! I manage my nutrition so well all week and then the weekend rolls around and I completely lose it! I didn't even bother to log my nutrition this weekend cuz it sucked so bad. I went out Friday night to a Scottish pub with friends so hmmm....3 beers, garlic fries, fish and…

How do you log meals after midnight?
This question is for anyone who has experienced this situation. Last night I got home very late after my two soccer games. By the time I showered, settled down a bit, got the kid situated and in bed and was ready to think about dinner it was after midnight. So I ate and right away I logged my nutrition into MFP and I…

Logging Sports
OK, so I logged my early morning walk this morning which burned about 310 calories. Tonight I will play two indoor soccer games back to back. I know I will burn mega calories, I am guessing somewhere around 700 - 800 after both games are finished. Should I log that in as exercise as well? I'm thinking I could afford a cold…

Back to Reality
OK, so is there an entry into my Food Tracker that simply says "I ate everything I could get my hands on this Memorial Day weekend, oh and drank tons of beer as well."? What a fun and relaxing weekend that was! Now, I am ready to get back on track. At least until the 4th of July!! I hope everyone had a restful weekend.…

My New Lunch Choice
I have been using MFP for a few days now and I love it. I lift weights and work-out quite a bit. OK, so in the "before time" my lunch order at Taco Bell would have been 3 crunchy tacos and a burrito supreme. And of course that was because, "Hey, I work out hard and do lots of cardio, I can eat WHATEVER I want!" Right, then…
