Where do we go after we have our babies?
I am just wondering....is there a mommas group? I am back on MFP now that we are almost at 6 weeks post partum, and think I need some support going on! I almost feel defeated after my first week logging/really working out again, I was UP one pound on weigh in day. I am going to think it is either water retention or that I…

Intro
Hello, everyone! I had my baby girl on July 6th, and am have been back on MFP since last week. I was religious about my workouts and counting calories/logging food until week 32 of my pregnancy when I started having a ton of BHicks and some slight blood pressure issues... All in all I gained 37 lbs, and still have 13 to…

Nutritional yeast
I just learned that nutritional yeast has 8 g of protein per serving! I love it because it is delicious and knew it was full of vitamin B, but now it will incorporate it into a lot more! check out this link -- it was very informative: ) http://nutritiondiva.quickanddirtytips.com/nutritional-yeast-good-for-you.aspx

Heart Rate Monitors - Polar
Consumer reports says that the Polar Ft1 is the best budget HRM. Anyone out there have one and care to share your review? If it works it seems like a good deal for $60.

Splitting cardio workouts
Would it still be effective to only do 10 minutes on the elliptical in the AM, and then 20 to 40 in the afternoon, or a different workout in the afternoon? I have always heard that cardio should last at least 20 minutes, but I really enjoyed my AM workouts....I just don't have the time to do a long walk or workout in the…

Body Fat/Hydration Scale suggestions
Right now I am looking at the Taylor body fat scale ($30), the Escali ($43), and the Whynter BH -2100 ($40). What do you guys all own? Do you think they are accurate? What brand would you suggest?

stupid scales....lol!
I thought my scale was broken last week....or at least just sucks. I woke up, weighed in.....194.5. Used the potty and brushed my teeth. 193.5. Moved the scale and tried again. 193.5. Moved it and tried again, got 193.5. Last week when I moved it around it would vary in weight by about 4 lbs. So now it is an hour and a…

NSV - an internet-less evening
We had a wicked storm yesterday that knocked my internet out, so I was without MFP to track my calories for the most of the day. I used pen and paper and what I remembered to be calories allotted for the foods I eat to keep tally. I went back in today and put it all in the system - I was within 100 calories of the actual…

Average Monthly Groceries
I was using the Suze Orman budgeting tool on the Oprah website (yeah, you can pause here to chuckle at my dorkiness) and it said that I was more than 20% outside the national average for groceries. The National average is $371 per month. I spend about $500 for two of us, but we pack breakfast and dinner and go out to eat…

Adjusting Settings for lifestyle...speedbump?
Two weeks ago I decided to adjust my lifestyle setting to sedentary, but I logged all of my activity including chores....anything where I was actively doing something other than reading or being at the computer. Truth be told, I am actually pretty darn active and only sit for tops 2 hours a day (of course not including…

Favorite Breakfasts
What are some of your favorite breakfasts? I am looking for two types: make ahead for when I have company staying the night and don't want to spend all the next morning in the kitchen, and ones that will be portable to be taken to work. To start out the swapping.... I tried a new pancake recipe, and we just loved it so, I…

New to running/jogging - breathing help
I have never been a runner...and I never understood why people did it...I would joke and say the only way I would be running was if someone was chasing me with a cattle prod! However, I really wanted to kick up my AM walking workout. It already incorporated hills at a brisk pace, so I figured intervals of jogging two…

I swear I am addicted to it! It is really refreshing and filling and tastes amazing...you can alternate OJ for the lemon juice....…

Down 3 pounds in 10 days...
I am happy with this...but wanted more impact! Maybe I am a little bummed because my hubby has lost 9 pounds total since the 11th, and I have only lost 4 total. I am trying to be happy with that though, since it is 2 lbs a week and I am on the plan for 1 lb a week. And I got to have delicious meals all week, work in the…
