Adjusting Settings for lifestyle...speedbump?

Two weeks ago I decided to adjust my lifestyle setting to sedentary, but I logged all of my activity including chores....anything where I was actively doing something other than reading or being at the computer. Truth be told, I am actually pretty darn active and only sit for tops 2 hours a day (of course not including sleep.) I also decreased calorie/net calorie consumption, making sure to never go below my BMR for overall consumption of calories. My net calorie consumption, though, was under 1000 a lot.
So, to make this long story short -- I think this has slowed me down. I was losing 2 lbs the week before MFP and my first few weeks back on to 1.5 lbs and then a .5 lb gain this morning. I have also felt a little food deprived/exercise obsessed/stressed...
I know that plateaus happen, and it could be water, but it is still discouraging.
My new plan is to go back to the lightly active setting, and only log my workout sessions on the elliptical, walking, strenuous yard work, and pilates/yoga . I am going to try and stay closer to my calorie goal as well.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

Yes, I think you may have slowed down your metabolism. Your metabolism slows down when it thinks you're facing a food shortage. It is conserving energy. Just increasing activity doesn't help. This goes back to caveman days when we may have gone through long periods of shortage but still had been very active. You have to eat enough to keep the body assured.0
