  • Hey Lushes! I am back!!! Madelyn Rose was born on July 6th at 7 lb, 4 oz and 19.5 inches. It was a c-section because she was stuck in breech. I was really good about working out up until week 32, then it got really hard and hot out here in FL. I also found 2 NA beers that were pretty delish that helped out for those summer…
  • Rarely I will allow myself and 'do whatever with reckless abandon day' but usually a free day for me is no workout and not stressing if I go over my calories. I do have to give myself at least one day a week like that or I get burnt out. I still log if I remember to. I lost almost 30 lbs before I got pregnant with Madelyn,…
  • I drank them throughout my pregnancy and my baby has two heads! Just kidding...she is perfectly fine ;) I actually really like a couple of the NAs and still drink them even though I can have real beer. Clausthaler and Beck's NA are my fave. I didn't drink any real alcohol for the entirety of my pregnancy, though.

  • Hey Girls! I am still kickin! We got back from a beach vaca on Wed last week, but have been super busy...and I have been scheduling appts to interview pediatricians, finishing the nursery, and dealing with a Termite situation. yeah...fun! I try to stay active around the house and swim when I can...but other than that I…
  • I tried everything and eventually just got a script from the doc. I know -- I am a weakling!
  • I am CDing...I am starting with prefolds and covers, and grabbing some other kinds for when she is bigger when the are on sale. Madison's Organics online is having a store closing sale, so I grabbed a few things there. Cottonbabies does have free shipping, too, and they were fast. Spot's corner also has a lot of resale…
  • It has been EONS since I have posted.... Due to increased tightness/braxton hicks throughout most of my day and pubic bone pain (I think it may be Symphysis pubis dysfunction) and AWFUL lower back pain, I haven't been able to work out at all the last three weeks. The chiropractor helps a little bit, but not as much as he…
  • Hey, all! I was a real bum this past week --- it was crazy stressful at work, and I only did a true workout once last week and logged nothing.... so I resolve to do better this week -- starting today! I did swimming and vigorous cleaning, and logged all of my food, and the gym bag is packed for tomorrow! Glad you are all…
  • Hi, all:) I guess it is time for me to move on up to 3rd tri! I am 28 wks, 3 days today, and going for a growth scan this afternoon. It is so exciting to see Little Girl :) I am staying very active...although I no longer run the stadiums...or really even manage to walk them...I have been walking, hiking, walking the hills,…
  • Hey Girls! I have been MIA...sorry! Work is crazy; we have FCAT on Monday and Tuesday, which is high stakes norm-referenced reading testing for my kids, so I have been pretty stressed. I have been staying active and within calorie goal, but not weighing myself. It is obviously out of my control at this point...although I…
  • Hello, and HAPPY FRIDAYYY!!! Kelly and Jaylyn- good luck in 3rd tri :) Melissa -- I hear you on the struggling through the work out...and registering is overwhelming at first. I did it, then went back and refined. Girlfriends Guide to baby gear and Baby Bargains helped a lot. Helen-- I wouod DIE of impatience not knowing…
  • Brandy -- I started to feel LO move a lot at 20 weeks...there were movements before that, but they were faint and I wasn't sure if it was the baby or gas. Now I am positive they were baby. As far as daycare, make sure they are NAEYC certified, and ask about their emergency procedures/injury procedures...also, turn over of…
  • Hello, hot mommas! I have really been slacking here lately. I have been reading all of the posts, but have been busy and not responding every day....sorry for being a bum! Helen-- I find that I am reallly cranky if I don't work out, and I LOVE to eat...I am sure I would be up 30 lbs at this point if I hadn't been…
  • Hey girls! So no ultrasound today...or next visit. I will have another at the end of April. Doc did check her heartbeat, and my weight is stabilizing...so yeah! I am so excited to have NOT gained 3 lbs a week in the last few weeks ;) He also gave me a script for my super, super itchy belly. I just changed my profile…
  • Hello all! Well, I will check in real quickly while dinner is on... I did good with workouts -- every day last week...not so good on logging food...and also not worrying about the scale as much...kinda. I will weigh tomorrow AM when I get up. I was up 14.5 lbs as of last Wed, so hoping that things are stable since I am…
  • Hey Guys! Just a quick check in for me today :) I hadn't weighed since last week, and thankfully only gained 1/2 a lb...so I think the big jump was a 2nd tri spike. I did up my water to 12-16 oz a day, and have been really good about working out every day :) I was bad with logging food, though...so I am going to get back…
  • Hi, everyone! What a busy week! I threw a baby shower for a girl at work on Tuesday, then had carpet installed in the nursery on Wednesday, and had a rising freshmen orientation after school Thursday. I am pretty pleased with the fact that I got a work out in mon, tues, thur, and today, too...Wed I cleaned while the carpet…
  • Hey guys! It has been a busy week for me!! Melissa -- I just got a script for the heartburn since it is soooo awful now...we will see how it works! Kelly -- we did a super meat stuffed calzone for dinner...so I hear ya on not so healthy ;) lots of protein, though! lol... Helen-- it is hard not to obsess over the lbs.…
  • So, I made this recipe from Publix today -- It was a chicken citrus salad -- really easy. Take two grapefruit, cut in half and remove the sections. Squeeze the juice in a bowl; add 1/2 cup lemon curd and 1 tsp minced garlic and whisk (I left out the black sesame seeds.) Arrange grilled chicken and grape fruit sections over…
  • My mom went by that policy -- if I didn't like what she made, I could make myself a PBJ, grilled cheese, or cereal after I tried what she cooked. I am a very healthy eater now because I tried a lot of things when I was younger.
  • For me the cloth diapering is more about the chemicals in sposies. I just don't think it can be good to have something that holds a gallon of pee so close to reproductive organs all the time. But- we will see. It is overwhelming, there are tons of types of CD. My thought is to do pre folds and covers for NB stage, and then…
  • Name: Becca Hubby/Partner: Tracy How many kids do you have: This will be our first :) Due Date: July 15, 2012 Do you know the gender: Not yet -- we may be able to find out on 1/25, but the doc said no promises! Have you picked out the baby's name: Won't decide until we know boy or girl -- but it is still a great debate…
  • Hey all :) Glad to see that everyone is doing their best at staying fit!! Quick check in here -- I have been doing great with drinking lots of water, and with fruits/veggies. It helps that oranges are in season here, and my neighbor picked me two big bags! I have also logged all of my food so far, and exercised every day…
  • One of my friends from work got one through her health insurance..check, maybe yours will cover it too :)
  • I love to make those! They are a great addition to a cookie tray:)

  • Nichole -- so happy for you! You really were a trooper, and your story is amazing! I am glad to hear that you and Hannah are both doing well :flowerforyou:
  • It has been a few days it seems... I had a great U/S Wednesday...went to the mall and movies yesterday, and overdid it. I was starving ALL day, and if I didn't eat I would start to feel nausea. 2 eggs on toast for breakfast, PIzza, milk shake, lemon cake, chicken with potato and peas for dinner, cereal with banana, 1/2…
  • We just got back from the OB, and what a great appointment! We saw the baby doing flips and waving, and stretching -- super active little thing! I got some great pictures, and one with a super cute profile -- s/he has 2 eyes, a nose, jaw, legs, arms, and all! I feel so great after seeing the baby today :) We are going out…
  • This board is so active -- it is hard to keep up! Dem -- I get pissed really easily now. Actually, that was what made me first think we might have been pregnant before we got the BFP! EVERYthing is annoying.... I can't remember all of the other things I wanted to say.... oh, cloth diapers. They are getting very popular in…
