Clean Eating Club ~ Dec. 3-7
I'm going to create this thread weekly from now on, beginning on Mondays. This "club" is for anyone who wants to eat five or six times per day and eat "clean" foods. This is a diet of bodybuilders, but you don't have to be a bodybuilder to reap its benefits! Let's support each other in the quest to eat well, feel satisfied…

Who has increased their calories with success?
MFP sets me at 1200 calories. I am 5'2" and weigh 118, but would like to weigh closer to 110 (although I'm not terribly concerned with getting that low -- I'm perfectly comfortable with 112-114). I exercise a lot, six times per week, alternating between 45-60 mins. of cardio and 45-60 mins. of strength training. I'm…

Who's waiting for Cathe's STS?
I pre-ordered STS, cancelled it, and then pre-ordered it again. It's finally coming soon! I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm excited to be getting some new workout videos. "Never the same workout twice" will be right up my alley! Anyone else waiting for STS to come?

Manually counting calories
Does anyone count calories manually? MFP is so easy, and I love it, but I feel like it's so convenient that I never really get a true idea of the amount of calories in my foods. MFP does all the work, and I don't have to know a thing! Of course, I have a general idea of how to make 300 calorie meals now (I eat 5x a…

Therefore, in order to improve the way we look and feel, the most important thing that we can do is focus…

MFP Runner's Club - 1/8/09
I'm going to start the thread today because I gave myself the birthday gift of an easy mile-and-a-half treadmill run.   (I don't usually do treadmills because of past injuries, but I think I'm going to start doing a short treadmill run at least once a week.) I'm so itching to get back to running come…

Sugar Is Pain
I've had a major revelation that is really helping me to eat better over the holidays! I was diagnosed with IBS in college, and I've always thought that coffee and chocolate were the main culprits causing me abdominal pain. I stopped drinking coffee for nearly 20 years because of it. The chocolate wasn't quite as easy to…

From Vegetarian to meat eating and clean eating
This may be a touchy subject, but I've been a vegetarian for several years and I've recently decided to start eating meat again. I'm excited because now I feel like I can really try clean eating. I just need to learn to buy, prepare, and cook meat again -- and get over my squeamishness. If I never eat another processed soy…

WW Core with MFP
Is anyone else doing the WW Core program in conjunction with MFP? I did WW Flex for a year and had great results, until I got tired of counting points. I've slowly put 10 pounds back on since then, tried Core, but only maintained because I still ate too much. MFP by itself is not working for me because I have a sweet…

PMS Binging -- How to avoid?
I wrote recently about being on a diet roller coaster, and I think I've discovered why: PMS. I do great about half of the month, and then the other half I do terrible (there are about three days to a week that are the worst), so I'm constantly spiraling between diet success and "disaster." Lately I'm on the disaster end.…

Repeated yoyoing -- Need diet buddy?
Every time I lose weight and start feeling "thin," I think that I'm free to eat whatever I want. Then I gain and return to a point of feeling "fat," and I start counting calories again, until I feel "thin" and the cycle repeats. How do I get off this roller coaster of weight gain and loss? I'm only talking about 5 or 10…
