thawing cooked dried beans
i love adding beans to salads, but would prefer cooking them myself rather than buy canned, i know they turn out ok in soups stews etc... but as for salads i'm not too sure how that would turn out. has anyone just thawed them and tossed them into salads or do they have to be re-boiled? all opinions welcome. thanks.

hi, i'm thinking of trying out some healthy sour cream and onion snacks like, shaking it on popcorn, cashews etc, only problem is all the recipes i've seen call for powdered buttermilk, and it is impossible to get it where i am. does anyone know if i can substitute it with powdered milk, coffee whitner or maby omit it all…

i just made my first homemade peanut butter using ready salted peanuts as i couldn't find raw ones, sitll turned out prity good and i'm storing it in the fridge. only thing is i'm not too sure how long it might last without going off. any thoughts?

planning ahead
when i sit to have my breakfast i usually fill out my food part of the diary beforehand...i find it help me keep on track and make better meal choices. does anyone else do this or is it just me? must confess though weekend are a bit of a mess!! o:)
