Yep, I do this. It helps me make better choices and find ways to fit things in that I want.0 -
I love pre-logging! I even do it for several days ahead or say a week's worth of breakfasts at a time. It really does keep me on track and helps me budget enough calories for my evening snack, which is very important to me. If I don't have delicious things to look forward to, I'm setting myself up for failure.0

weeks worth of breakfast planning...hadn't thought of that...good idea as its one of the meals i don't have to think of fitting in everyones likes or dislikes and try to keep it low cal.
thanks!0 -
I have been pre-logging at night for the next day. It is helpful to me to see how my choices would play out and make changes or decide how much exercise I am going to do that day.0

I'm getting into the habit of pre-logging my entire week each Sunday, which is when I do my grocery shopping anyway. I look at my calendar, figure out how many meals I'll be in versus out for, log what I think I'll eat, buy whatever ingredients I need, and it saves me money at the grocery store (less wasted food) and also helps me stick to plan.
Sure, it's not perfect -- life happens and things change -- but I don't stress about that. It makes most of my days effortless because I've already pre-planned my food. I can cook extra quantities of things on the weekend to eat during the week. And if something changes, well, I just edit my diary.0 -
I love pre-logging, especially if there's something specific I want to fit in. It turns into a mini-game and takes me mind off food for the rest of the day.0

I see it as a puzzle. Gotta make all those pieces fit my macros. I agree, it's kinda fun.

Lots of people see pre-logging as a key. I think it's a splendid way to learn what foods "fit" your lifestyle best. Good on you and good luck with the rest of your loss.0
