Happy Monday OMADers! I had a SPECTACULAR weekend of nesting around my house, hangin' with my man, and cooking! AND eating! LOL - had a great, normal weekend, now back to the fasting portion of my week!
I have my work cut out for me! I went a little salt wild this weekend...PLUS did QUITE a bit of weight/resistance training so I might be holding water from that. Anyway 186.2 this morning - with a salt free day today, I'll be down 3-4 by tomorrow I'm sure
Weekend activities! Bone broth - the butcher had some goodies for me...chicken necks, backs, and gizzards! 4 bucks and it made my whole week's worth of broth! OH and this weekend I tried doing it in my pressure cooker/instant pot for a while because it was such tough cuts of meat and it worked beautifully

And finally! Part 1 of OMAD yesterday - Salad with chicken thigh and ranch, noodles with a poached egg...I also had 2 apples, some grapes, and LOTS of candy *sigh* LOL - I seem to be on a major candy kick! I don't mind because it's the weekend but STILL! LOL
Ignore the grilled cheese part - I decided against it LMAO

Daily Update! Was carrying a TON of water via salt yesterday so flush flush flushed - had a good food night with super low sodium...yesterday weigh in - 186.2...today - 185.2. NOT a happy camper. Going to cut out my celery during the day, and see if that helps during my mini-fast days.
If I have any chance of hitting 177 by EOW, I hafta crack down majorly. PRAY FOR ME folks LOL - I need to hit 181 tomorrow so have any shot at 177 Friday morning.

The thing is, I didn't even have that much salt yesterday! I was very conscious of it...I'm playing with it, but my happy A** better be at 181 tomorrow or we're in trouble for the EOW LOL0 -
Salt is the worst! If you did some weight training, your muscles can be holding on to that longer, too. And that is sometimes harder to get rid of than the salt bloat. You're going to get a big woosh of a loss one of these days!0

Another odd thing happened - I went to use the ladies before I left for "lunch" and pooped! No idea why since I haven't eaten anything since last night - but felt lighter, so re-weighed omw back in from lunch....184.8! Half a pound in the course of 3 hours lmao...all that salt flushing out! I'm doing a major water push today and tonight, so tomorrow is looking more and more promising1 -

Checking in for the day! I had NO appetite last night, was just exhausted and emotional. Kinda felt like PMS but I'm only 1 mo out of 3 into my current BC cycle so no idea what that's about lmao.
Anywho, stuck with some celery, some bone broth with all the meaty pieces in it, and a few pieces of candy - like 450 cals, so highish for a mini fast, but mostly bc of the protein.
ANYWHO I weighed in this morning and I needed 182 MIN to have a shot at 177 Friday...and i was REALLY unsure that I was hitting that...guess what?
181!!!!!!
I'm going to assume that my muscles finally released all the water retention/lactic acid finally dissipated because 3.8 overnight is a LOT even for my big fluctuations LOL I was going to do a 72 hour to give myself a better shot at goal on Friday, but no need now! So mini fast tonight, full 48 starting tomorrow morn, and official weigh in Friday!

HA I thought the same thing! I'll never lose the thrill of the drop, because my weekly schedule will stay the same, just with higher cals for maintenance! Now THAT is winning! :-D

Ok so checking in:
Unintended (but lovely) "workout" last night so my muscles are back to being a little sore. Consequently, only 0.6 pounds overnight to 180.4 - I'm going to reweigh after lunch (again, more for curiosity than anything else).
STILL shooting for 177 tomorrow - full fasting since about midnight last night...it'll be 36ish when I weigh in tomorrow so here's hoping that's enough.
I don't feel like I'm holding much salt, so I think it's just the muscles again. If I get anymore loss after lunch, I'll re-update

SO 2 pounds even this week. REALLY REALLY was hoping to get under 178 but that's ok - progress is happening! Goal doesn't change - 175 next week..we'll try for that 3.2 again, and if it works, GREAT! If not? We tried, and it can't hurt!

On another note - Ced wanted Thai last night (on my FASTING DAY that MEANIE LOL) - so I picked up pad thai and set 1/3 of it aside for me for tonight...HOWEVER, I really have been craving Indian food and I found a place near my work so I don't hafta drive wayyyy outta my way SO I'm picking that up OMW home too...so long story short, dinner will be pad thai, chicken tikka masala, and probs some goat curry or something of the sort LOL (or maybe daal...and DEFINITELY naan and roti LOL)
This weekend, I think I'm going to go Mexican and make up some of my famous quinoa and beef taco meat! I really want to focus on protein this weekend, so that should help. Packs a big calorie punch, but I need the MEAT! LOL.
I'll take lotsa pics as usual so stay tuned! Happy OMADing kids!

@Brendalea69 Thank you!!! It was a hard earned 2 pounds, so I'll take it...I know I'm being a tiche greedy by wanting the 3.2 but somehow in my head it gets me "back on track" since I missed 2 by a bit for a couple weeks LOL.
