For everyone in the step challenge, just a reminder to post your steps by around noon tomorrow!1 -
I am amazed by how good I feel today after the first chemo treatment yesterday. I have 4 Rxs to take at home - 2 are for the first 2 mornings and the other is for 4 nights after a session. This morning I was feeling off balance/dizzy but still no nausea. I am eating a little more than usual expecting the chemo will cause some weight loss sooner or later and I don't want to lose too much too fast. I had LOTS of saline with the chemo and my weight was up about 4 pounds last night but back down today.6

Hello everyone! Hope you’re doing well! Sorry I haven’t been on here much. I wage up, go on my computer, work all day, then I just relax. This quarantine situation is really wearing on me. I feel rundown & tired. Trying to get through this one day at a time!
Have a good weekend!6 -
Feeling low energy today. Low pulse and blood pressure. And an earlier headache. Stubbornly stuck to my workout routine. 57 minute yoga (lots of sweating), and 20 minute walk. Took a nap. Feeling better but glad to chill the rest of the day.6

@Cafelella so sorry I am late this week!
I did weigh myself on Monday but just so overwhelmed this week, I couldn't log in. I got my new scale and it syncs up with the my fitness app. I am really going to try and find a routine this week and be better about checking in.
For the new members, hi, I live in Los Angeles. Married with one son who had to come home from college and finish online. He is not a happy camper. I currently manage my elderly parents care, home and finances. They both have dementia (different kinds).
This week I had to fire one of the night caregivers because she showed up drunk! Then the agency talked to the rest of the crew and apparently they knew she was doing that! OMG! If you knew how much I paid for this agency you wouldn't believe it. So I had to sleep at my parents for a couple of nights. I didn't really sleep. I interviewed some new people to come in. I was in the process of hiring a senior care manager who specializes in dementia. Which is good because I am going to move to private care, but I have to hire a payrolll company, add workers comp to my parents policy and the consultant said it could take 2-4 weeks to get a team in place. obviously interviewing and finding well qualified people (instead babysiters) takes time. I have also been shopping for my parents, the caregivers and my family for items we just can't get online. I wear a mask and gloves. I'm asthmatic so I am slightly terrified but it seems like California is doing a good job on slowing the curve.
@sleepymom5 I am so sorry your family has gone through this ordeal. I can't imagine. Sending you and your family lots of love! And thank you for sharing your story to help the rest of us know what can happen.
I am going to go back and read everyone's post.
one last thought...My husband was on a group call with some of the biggest retail CIO's in the country and one of them said they are trying to rebrand the phrase social distancing..... it should be physical distancing. We need to keep the social part up and I am going to try my best this week because I truly appreciate everyone in this group!
Hang in there everyone!

Things got a bit dire there in the middle of the week, but I got moving again.
Daylight saving ended here last night so got an extra hour of sleep last night, thankful for that.
@JillyBT I completely agree it should be called physical distancing. People are socially connected through the internet in a lot of different ways, and there's no risk in that. Social connection these days is often physically distanced! Who knows what muppet came up with the 'social distancing' term? lol!
@Mrsbell8well Don't push yourself too hard when you're not feeling well. I learned that the hard way. I have low BP and a low RHR, and sometimes I need to rest rather than exercise. It annoys me! But after fainting a few times I did learn! I hope you enjoy your chill day
@kirsten11872 I know how you feel. It's hard not to get overwhelmed. I set little goals for myself each day, such as get a certain number of steps. Either that or I'll fold completely, and that's not okay with me.
It's almost lunchtime Sunday here, so I'm off to get some exercise in. Keep on keeping on everyone.5 -
@lennoncpa
No, I guess I don't remember you making hummus before. I probably did read about it but forgot.
My issue is chocolate and peanut butter. If I want something I have to go get a single serving of it or I would eat a whole bag of whatever it is, peanut butter cups, chocolate cake, peanut butter pie, etc.4 -
@1theresamcvean
I don't know how steady I am.🤔Just trying to do my best. Also, try to be inspiring. I've always liked helping others when I can and right now, I can only do it through social media or phone calls.
I'm glad my conversation with my boss went well too. He's only been my boss for a few weeks. My former boss went to another shift recently.
Yes, living in a condo community does seem to help with people being neighborly. I don't know everyone who lives here but I'll still say hello or wave as people drive past.2 -
@Cafelelia
Yes, getting out for a while and socializing is good for my mental health too, which is also important.
Your son looks like he's really enjoying the bread.1 -
Saturday 4/4
Food: over, only tracked part of the day
Water: 42 oz
Exercise 60 minute walk with my neighbor
I had no motivation to do anything today, didn't even feel like working out. I was very lazy today. I watched a Hallmark movie, read my book, talked to my brother for a while. Made some energy bites and ended up eating all but 5 of them.🙄
There was a knock on my door, which I thought was strange. I found a plant outside my door and saw my pastor and his wife leaving my driveway. I thought that was so nice of them. It was raining this morning so I thought my neighbor and I wouldn't be able to walk today but it stopped so we were able to go. I ordered supper from a local restaurant tonight because I want to support them as much as I can. My meal was healthy but I also got a peanut butter pie, which I thoroughly enjoyed.3 -

I’m not surprised. Food intake has went up, excercise has been non existent. I think anxiety and stress are kicking in with all that’s going on in the world. It’s time to reel it in and get back at it. The gym that I’m a member of is offering free online workouts starting Monday to members and non members. Everyone that completes their 21 day challenge gets a free t shirt. They are also waiving all fees for April, which they should since they are closed. I’ll try to get all of my steps posted in the morning!6 -
