Iβm trying very hard to finish up eating by 7 pm, which I think helps me to sleep better & show a loss the next day. Now to get myself to WALK.
@Tomsgal1985 You got this! Schedule your walk like it is a very important meeting that you must attend or you will get fired from your job!2 -
Got into the cheesy carbs last night. Had a lot of calories left on the table and I didn't approach it correctly. I went overboard, way overboard! The scales are up a pound and a half this morning. Drinking my water as we speak and already went for a walk. A longer walk than I had planned, but all is good. My knee seems to be handling it (still "feeling" my knee) but the rest of my legs are barking at me because of the sedentary lifestyle the last three months. Building up endurance is the only way to stop the barking.2

On my plate is Built to Move by Kelly and Juliet Starrett. I'm really enjoying it! π
@DaffyGirl88 Thank you for the book recommendation. I have not been feeling the fiction genre as of late but didn't know where to go from there.2 -

@HASWLRS for the last few years I've been sprinkling health and retirement planning books in with my normal reading. It started with a book called "Ageproof: Living Longer Without Running Out of Money or Breaking a Hip". I read one every few months. Most of what I read is a repeat of what I've read before, but I usually pick up some small nugget of wisdom. If nothing else, it keeps staying healthy front and center in my mind.
What I liked about Built to Move is the way they focused on everyday life skills, things we all need to do, like getting up off the floor without help, or keeping mobility in your shoulders so that you can reach a high shelf or put on/off a sweatshirt without help.

@walk4today it could totally be the new medication. It should level off though after you've been on it for a while1 -

I have gained ten pounds over the course of two months. π€¦π»ββοΈ But if I donβt stop being in denial I know it will only get worse. So I am owning my gain and looking ahead and not behind. Thank you, friends, for accepting me where I am. It means more than I can say. β€οΈ

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!π«Άπ»π€1 -
I decided to make a list of how many hours per week I spend on my (over) commitments. Seeing it on paper was eye opening, to say the least:
Prep and rehearsals for the musical: 35 hours
Prep and PT teaching: 20 hours
PT radio station job: 20 hours
Musician gigs (approx.): 7 hours
Proofreading job: 5 hours
I work 87 hours a week.
No wonder Iβm overwhelmed and exhausted every single day. π€¦π»ββοΈ3 -
