I had a cardiac echo today and unlike the one two years ago, the tech didn't say, "Oh sh*** I'll be right back," run out of the room, and bring back 2 cardiologists and call 911.
I don't know the exact results, but that *didn't* happen. And I heard it beat, so it's neither cold nor dead, as is rumored. I'm feeling good. That's the victory right there. I feel good.17 -

Did they fetch you a, er, neurosurgeon?2 -

Naw, my kids got on my last nerve decades ago, so that's kind of a lost cause.7 -
+1 Spoken like a true honey badger!3

A few days ago, got another pair of pants size 46, currently wearing 48 that need a belt to keep them tight. Figured it would encourage me to knock off a few pounds, but in fact they fit already.14

Oh, my. I can't help but laugh and feel horrified simultaneously! Go you for not repeating the near catastrophy..2 -
NSVs over my weekend: Bought two new pairs of pants that previously were too snug for me to feel comfortable buying. The jeans were on clearance so that was a bonus!
Had a cheat meal for brunch on Sunday and still didn't go over my calories for the day. I ended up making a big batch of beef stir fry for dinner that was AWESOME and got me back on track.
Made a Costco trip specifically to get healthy foods. We picked up blackberries, raspberries, a frozen veggie stir fry blend, avocados, kirkland protein bars (4 net carbs!) and I can't remember what else. But I made sure to hunt for those bars because people on IG have been raving about them! I didn't pick up any junk food for myself.1 -

Thanks! Since I went keto in Feb, its been an incredible pace! Hopefully I run right through my goal weight1 -
Here's my NSV today. My BP is 118/66. Normally it runs in the borderline high range.5

What does nsv stand for? New small victory?0

I had my 40th birthday this week and there was lots of leftover birthday cheesecake. I didn't eat any of it, instead i started my low carb diet and I've stuck to it both days. I also gave the leftover pizza to the hubs, who is skinny and has a high metabolism.4

My NSV 1st week - my body is finally 'quiet'. Before I was on this endless sugar rollercoaster3

I avoided sandwiches at 2 working lunches plus all the sweets set out to keep our energy up. I also declined the most glorious looking cupcake while everyone else at work dug in. Willpower.4

I have to buy new jeans again! Third time since January! This is getting expensive! Am really nervous about wearing a knee-length dress to my neice's wedding next weekend. I haven't worn one that length in 20 years or more.5

Very small ones but they make me realize how far I've come....
Went to movies yesterday. No snacks etc purchased.
Went to Texas Roadhouse and normally I would get sweet tea and a baked potato as my choices. Instead I had a salad and green beans and had a water.5 -
Thank goodness we don't judge each other here.... My NSV for today? There was a time I'd buy a Sara Lee Family Size pound cake and eat the whole thing in two days. I freaking LOVE that stuff. Yesterday my daughter asked for one so I purchased a small one for the family. Just now I spent ten minutes teaching her why I won't take even a small bite of hers. (She's my 11 year old who is a lot easier to teach than my 16 year old I started a thread about) I think I could convert her quite easily. Now I have a mission....6

I had to buy shorts since we're finally getting warm enough weather to wear them and all my (US) 8's from last summer don't fit.
I grabbed a bunch of things to try on in size 6 since that's the size some jeans are Ive been wearing. They were all too big! I bought a size 4 guys! I haven't fit that size since I was about 15 years old! I ain't talkin I squeezed into them and have to wear a baggy shirt to hide the muffin top either! They fit without overflow! Lol
I'm stoked!24 -
Bumping because I'm sure some folks have things to add!2

I bought size 10 dress slacks yesterday. Still have muffin top , but a lot of it is loose skin ( I think ) from loosing 40+ pounds in six months. I'm older so I expect the saggy skin will never completely go away. A year ago I was wearing size 20!15

Bought 34x30s to replace my old 36s that had gotten obnoxiously loose. Got home, washed them, put them on, realized I should have bought 32s.
Shaved my ridiculously unkempt face, and discovered that there were indeed cheekbones, inside that beachball of a face that I used to have.14 -
I can fit into my 13/14 jeans again. Last year I upsized to 15/16. I am slowly starting to see something that resembles a waist!!!7

I've got 2.
1) my bp was 112/72 at my checkup yesterday! For awhile, it's been hovering at 120/80 which isn't bad, but it's higher than mine has typically been.
2) I tried on a shirt that I bought over a year ago, but it was always snug and it made it shorter and I loved the style but didn't feel good in it. I put it on today and I totally rocked it. It fell right to where I'm comfortable with and it fit just right without being tight.12 -
I don't fit Lane Bryant (plus-sized womens clothing store) clothes anymore.
My next batch of clothes will be from "regular" stores.

@karebear5891 - YES!
Isn't it nice to not feel like you're grabbing at it? I always grab at my shirt to "loosen" it from feeling like it's clinging to my fat rolls all the time - I hope to not feel that anymore soon!
Mine is that I didn't feel uncomfortable buckling my seat belt on a plane seat - AND sat in the middle seat nice and easy, without bitching in my head about feeling squished or too fat the whole time!5
