New rep PR on deadlifts today: 310x11 at 168 bodyweight. Probably could have pulled a couple more, but my hips were starting to get wobbly on the descent for the last one.10

For now, she is keeping the last two, but we have replaced the sandwich with turkey and cheddar (no bread) and the Pringles with sliced bell pepper. She is more like her mother and not big on changing everything at once but rather going one step at a time. Since she is healthy with no metabolic or weight issues, I am not going to push too hard. I think by next school year, we can have her tastes broadened enough to have her whole lunch be healthy.
This came after she decided I was right about changing her standard breakfast from English muffin with butter and jelly to a small cheese omelet. Her only complaint about it is that because her school lunch time is so early (10:50), she isn't as hungry at lunch.
That's great that she's making the choices. I agree that some change is a good thing. It's learning how to eat that will serve her well long term. IF she ever starts to gain unwanted weight or starts to feel hungry all the time, she will have the knowledge already to take control. I wish I had known about all this much earlier!Gallowmere1984 wrote: »New rep PR on deadlifts today: 310x11 at 168 bodyweight. That's seriously impressive!
I bailed on my lifting when I had to drop my gym membership because money was tight but I think I can start it back up again this month! Very excited to get back to it!3 -

I'm currently training in preparation for a meet in December, the day after my birthday. I have a tendency to aim high, so I'm programmed for state records in my weight class/age bracket, and will be adjusting as I go. Started light, so my main focus is rep PRs for the next couple of months.3 -
Little sister brought home danish and cookies from Walmart. Not a nibble. Had PB and a piece of SF candy instead.6

My snuggest work pants are getting loose, my looser work pants are almost too loose.6
-
I bought smaller underwear today.8

I'm sorry, I was looking at the horse when you said that.... I got an image of a bay mare in Victoria's Secret.....5

She would be very pretty in VS, but I don't think they carry her size. She's quite large. LOL3
-
It would be funny contacting them and asking, wouldn't it...?
"Do you have a pink g-string, with a fluffy bunny tail, size XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL, please?"2 -
My NSV is that I am feeling really good about myself. People are commenting on my weight loss. I feel great, I am active again. And my partner is looking at me with interest.11
-
I got "just have to say I saw you today and thought to myself - where'd she go?" from someone at work today....12

Strange... someone took down my 'Barn Bum' photo response. No, it wasn't even a pic of undies. Or maybe I forgot to hit Post Reply after Preview, lol. Who knows?2

My second NSV is probably the best one I have ever had in all of my dieting (and there has been a lot over the years). My husband has NEVER had any interest in any diet or WOE that I've chosen, but now...he sees it. He sees that I am losing weight, that I have more energy, that I'm HAPPY! Not only has he asked me to "put him on my diet", but last night he told me how proud he is of me. This may not seem like a big thing, but for me...for us...it's huge. He's recognizing that I'm truly changing my entire way of life and that it's making a difference.
That is truly huge! Hope you two have a long long healthy relationship in every way!

Was working horses with a friend last night, and she stopped mid-sentence, looked at me, and said, "you're so pretty!" and then continued on with her sentence.13

NSV of the year!: When you get turned down for a weight loss program cuz your A1C is too good and your hbp is normal...lol..The dr said you're doing fine by yourself, keep doing what youre doing LOL. #winning15
-
A1C back in normal range, 5.5, even though I kinda ate like *kitten* from, like, November to February. Can't wait to see where it is in a few more months of doing what I'm supposed to do.6

This evening I tried on two pairs of pants that I have been saving. The last time I fit into them was 2008. I kept them because I used to like them, at one time they were my favorites.
Now - I got into both pairs without even undoing them! They're too loose to actually wear!

Take them in! You're never going to be that size again - !5

Thank you! This September we'll be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary, I look forward to doing so as a much smaller and healthier couple!4 -

My NSV is that every time I look in the mirror I am happy with what I see....10

I love the feeling that I'm in control of food now, instead of food controlling me. Before low carbing it, I was always thinking about food, thinking about my next meal, overeating in case I had to go too long between meals, sneaking food because I was embarrassed, etc. It's amazing how free I feel now. I can actually leave food on my plate now. I can go hours and hours without thinking about food. I haven't had any binge eating urges since I started on March 9th, and THAT is a miracle. I use to binge every couple of weeks. I feel alive and free and in control and it's wonderful.10

Good one! I second that!~2 -
NSV today that made me feel amazing! Went to church tonight with the kids and my cousin was there, I haven't seen her since I started Keto, she told me I looked skinny! Then said she wished she had my willpower and would love to try Keto but she loves bread too much HAHA Now I'm going to be showing her how to make Keto bread and see if she likes it6

Most recent NSV: recomp progress. After a month of reverse dieting to find my new maintenance, post hellcut, I'm actually heavier, but lifts are all up, and feeling one hell of a lot better.

After completing my couch to 5k program the other day I'm onto a 10k trainer app. Did 3.9 miles today, plus another 2/3rds of a mile in warmup and cooldown. I did the last mile of my run at a 10min/mi pace. 4 weeks from now I'm going to have to do 6.42 miles at a sub-10 min. pace, so I figure I have to start pushing now.
I have two consecutive off days tomorrow and Friday, I think I'm gonna go see if I can run an 8 minute mile on Friday. I think I can. When I was in high school, even running every day in wrestling practice, I never got sub-8 minutes. Now, at 41 years old, I'm pretty certain I can do it.
*edit to bold the victory part of all that mess9
