I'm pretty disappointed about this week's weigh in. I stayed under calorie every day, got my workouts in. I just got done with TOM so maybe that's part of it? My legs still hurt from all the walking earlier in the week, maybe they are retaining water? I don't know. I'm going to try really hard to just put it behind me and keep going. Here's to hoping for a big loss next week.

I am CERTAIN this is water weight. Is it hot where you live? Between your exercise, TOM and the heat, this is probably 3-4 lbs of water!!! You got this!

Yeah it's been in the upper 90's all week. Walking outside was something new I did just this week too. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'll just keep going and see what happens =]

Hi team, and welcome to week 4 of July! This is a 5 week month, so plenty of time to reach your goals towards better physical and mental health!
Quick note to all: I will not be rejoining the team/TBL in August; my journey here is on pause. I have been a captain since February; currently, there is no captain. Please consider stepping up to help the team out.
If you are interested, please let me know asap! I am not sure what happens if the group goes without a captain, but I would assume it does not continue.
    Thanks!

Sorry for the late post. I'm not sleeping much, insomnia kicked in and is kicking my butt. And of course my weight is up.

If I were in maintenance, I'd be proud of myself. I'm keeping my weight around 179-180 perfectly. Buuuuuut... I need to lose at least 40 lbs to be healthy.

I attended an out of town bridal shower in the mid morning to afternoon and then we had a family day at my parents house so even though it felt like a busy day, most of it was spent on my butt. No exercise logged, but I did make myself pretty proud by saying no to donuts at the shower and then ordering something healthy when my family decided to order out for dinner.

Any day when you say no to donuts is a HUGE SUCCESS!

I had a great day but last night a whole different story. I craved sweets and chocolate that I felt like a drug addict looking for a score. I went through every cabinet every corner of the kitchen looking for something and of course I found it and went way overboard. Today I feel really bad for what I did and I know I can't do that again. I knew it was wrong but I didn't care in the moment.

My question is how do I stop myself the next time????

The first thing I do when a craving hits is I drink a flavored water. I usually drink plain water so the flavored carbonated stuff will make cravings go away sometimes. If that doesn't work and I feel like I'm about to give in, I chew spearmint gum. It has such a strong flavor it almost always works. Also sometimes just leaving the kitchen helps. I'll go lay down on my bed and read a blog on my phone until it passes.
