Weekend Struggles!
This weekend was hard for me to stay on track with eating and exercise. I was able to push through it with discipline and my goals in mind. I took accountability today which is something I’m learning to do. It’s never too late to level up.

Discipline and Will Power!
Two of the hardest things to acquire for me. I’ve tried this so many times and back on it… again. This time it’s for me and me alone.

A re-introducing of myself
Hi! <3 I am 61 years old, pushing that 62 number ;) I am a widow of almost 8 years. A momma to 2 adult kids, a Grannee to 4 who are grown, and due to be a great-grannee later this year  I was here in 2021, but due to work, health, and life changes - I fell away. Did more of the yo-yo'ing than I wanted :( - lose a…

Hoping Not Too Old
At 72 and in moderate health, I'm hoping that MFP will prove that age is not an obstacle to achieving a healthy body.

An Apology
I apologize for any of my posts that seem to imply that the way I've found to lose weight, get healthy and not put the weight back on is for everyone. Looking over what I've written, I have to agree that it DOES seem to imply that. I guess after 60 years of yo-yo dieting and gaining more weight afterwards each time to the…

Hello Friend. I'm Niambi. I've been on MFP for over a decade and have had some success in the past. However I haven't mastered losing the pounds and keeping it off. In the past few months I lost 20lbs and hope to lose at least 60 in 2023. If you have a renewed dedication to lose 50+ lbs let be pals and encourage each other…

Hi there from the Florida Keys
My name is Karen (I know…🤦🏾♀️) but you can call me Kay. I’m a former fitness fanatic who got COMPLETELY derailed by BII. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Adrenal Fatigue, Anxiety, and ADD. <—-Literally NO ONE was surprised about that. Lol! I am on a mission to lose 85 pounds. I am doing a wide…

Oops! Just saw Show Us Your Graphs discussion...
Sometimes I just need a boost, and will take it anywhere I can find it! So much daily/weekly/hourly focus on the specifics that I can control. Seeing the incremental changes that result. Sometimes seeing no change for awhile... Here's what helps: looking back at my weight loss graph and seeing that my success over time was…

New and looking for friends fighting T2 diabetes!
I’ve been using the app since June again. I was diagnosed T2 in July. This has been my number one resource for healthy living. Really could use some friends who are traveling this same road to health.

Hellooooooo ... My Attempt #4,386 to get Healthier
I am a guy creeping up on 50-yrs-old, a chronic (dieting) failure but am determined to make this work. Have done MFP some time ago, WW, Optavia, Intermittent Fasting, hoping shaking things up MFP style will help me motivate. I need to lose about 60 lbs to get to a normal BMI, with some side goals of improving activity,…

Here I go again….
Take….I lost count 😂 Well, fighting epilepsy, celiacs, and long COVID with minor complications since Nov 2020…..I’m a hot weight long failure! So, I came back to MFP after a long sabbatical and saw this intermittent fasting thing. I remember my doctor suggesting I look into a long time ago. Well, now I’m intrigued. I’m…

Daily Nibbles
I'm a 4'10 pescatarian and weigh 161 pounds. January 2021, I weighed 175 pounds. At the beginning of November 2021, I weighed 155 pounds, so I've gained weight (here's looking at you Thanksgiving). I know 5 pounds isn't a "big deal." But, honestly, those five pounds happened because I almost threw in the towel. I stopped…

Returning user
In 2016 my grandson set me up in MyFitnessPal because I witnessed his 100 lb loss and was impressed. I did really well until the stress of a death derailed me. Now, at 73 , I have to lose a great deal of weight to improve my health. I am always willing to cheer others on and have a 50 lb goal to achieve. I’m willing and…

LOSING AND KEEPING WEIGHT OFF FOREVER
I truly believe the only way to lose weight and keep it off forever (that's what we want, right?) is to to eat a high protein/low fat diet, similar to KETO, and eat 1-2 meals a day with NO SNACKING. Drink water, unsweet tea or balcak coffee in-between to keep yourself hydrated and do this as a normal routine. I know people…

Best meal split to lose fat?
I've been seeing a lot of conflicting information about how many meals I should be eating a day. I know there is intermittent fasting where I would get 1-2 600 cal meals or Ive read that eating more meals could boost metabolism so maybe 5-6 200 cal meals. What would be best for losing weight

New to MPF
Just got started yesterday and forgot to put my supper meal in. Not sure if I can go back in time on the app… I tried UnderArmor’s app last year and lost weight, but they sold it and I switched to another app. It wasn’t as easy and I gained my UA weight back. 😫

Lost 60 Pounds with 40 to Go!
I started at 270. My doctor classified me as MORBIDLY OBESE and gave me a referral for gastric bypass surgery, and I went for the consultation but after seeing photos of the procedures, I bolted out of the office. The last thing I wanted was to ruin my stomach. I'm already being treated for reflux and have a hiatal hernia…

Just joined
Hi! just back from the doctor and need to take off some pounds. She's never been critical of my weight, I brought it up, but she obviously was glad I did. Its a long story as to how I got here (some 73 years or so), but the past is no longer an issue. Its where I go from here. Gotta start slow. Would love to hear some…
