Returning user
In 2016 my grandson set me up in MyFitnessPal because I witnessed his 100 lb loss and was impressed. I did really well until the stress of a death derailed me. Now, at 73 , I have to lose a great deal of weight to improve my health. I am always willing to cheer others on and have a 50 lb goal to achieve. I’m willing and…

LOSING AND KEEPING WEIGHT OFF FOREVER
I truly believe the only way to lose weight and keep it off forever (that's what we want, right?) is to to eat a high protein/low fat diet, similar to KETO, and eat 1-2 meals a day with NO SNACKING. Drink water, unsweet tea or balcak coffee in-between to keep yourself hydrated and do this as a normal routine. I know people…

Best meal split to lose fat?
I've been seeing a lot of conflicting information about how many meals I should be eating a day. I know there is intermittent fasting where I would get 1-2 600 cal meals or Ive read that eating more meals could boost metabolism so maybe 5-6 200 cal meals. What would be best for losing weight

New to MPF
Just got started yesterday and forgot to put my supper meal in. Not sure if I can go back in time on the app… I tried UnderArmor’s app last year and lost weight, but they sold it and I switched to another app. It wasn’t as easy and I gained my UA weight back. 😫

Lost 60 Pounds with 40 to Go!
I started at 270. My doctor classified me as MORBIDLY OBESE and gave me a referral for gastric bypass surgery, and I went for the consultation but after seeing photos of the procedures, I bolted out of the office. The last thing I wanted was to ruin my stomach. I'm already being treated for reflux and have a hiatal hernia…

Just joined
Hi! just back from the doctor and need to take off some pounds. She's never been critical of my weight, I brought it up, but she obviously was glad I did. Its a long story as to how I got here (some 73 years or so), but the past is no longer an issue. Its where I go from here. Gotta start slow. Would love to hear some…

Challenge to myself and perhaps some support, that would be nice
Log for 11/12/2022 I binged eat enough calories today to gain half a pound. That is 1600 extra calories than my goal calories. "Enough is enough" I told myself, like I'd told myself many times before, previously. And yet, it always feels different. Like maybe it'll be different this time. The difference now is that I may…

Well on my way...
I've not posted a lot, but I was in a very bad place a year ago. I'm a 5'-9", 61-year-old male and my doctor told me I needed to lose 100+ lbs. and recommended bariatric surgery. I was around 325 lbs. I started down that road and quickly became disillusioned with that option. I'm not at all suggesting it's not a valid…

Low Sodium
I have just started my journey to watching my sodium. Holy Cow! I thought a salad from chickfila would be ok. The sodium in it is 2200 without any dressing. Anyone else trying to fight the sodium consumption and how are you doing it? I work 2 jobs and finding the time to consistently meal prep is a challenge and then when…
