2025 Cycling Challenge
Here we are, kicking off our fourth year! Like cycling? So do I! This challenge is a simple one - ride 2025 miles in 2025! Type of cycle? Doesn't matter. Indoor, outdoor, don't care. As long as it has pedals (whether for feet or for hands) and wheels (virtual or real), it counts! Peleton? Zwift? Road? Mountain trails?…

Would like friends, but very tolerant ones!
I am not the best at handling online communications. I am often “replying in my head” then thinking that I’ve written a reply. Then I realize, sometimes much later, that I haven’t replied and I’m just tooo embarrassed. so, please be my friend! I need you — someone to help keep me focused!😁

How does MFP determine what an exercise is?
My MFP is synced with Strava (and Coros to Strava). When I look at the exercise that is logged in MFP, it just says "Running (jogging), in place". I ran 11 miles on a very difficult trail and that definitely was not "jogging in place". My watch was set to "Trail Run". Why does it say that I was jogging in place? What is…

Ready but nervous
Hi, I’m Bert. I started my journey of taking my health seriously at the beginning of this year. I weighed approximately 350 lbs on January 1, and as of me typing this I’m at 210. I took up running and ran my first 5K this year, and more recently I’ve started working out 3 times a week. I was on weight watchers for the year…

Hi, everyone. I (26F) am 5’6 and 160lbs. I was going to the gym somewhat consistently for a little under a year until a health issue put me out of commission for 4 months. I’m trying to get back into it and would love some tips on how to reach my physique goal. I would love to be more muscular and toned but I’m unsure…

Which single fitness habit do you think will matter the most 10 years from now — and why?
We all know fitness isn’t just about today — it’s about building habits that last a lifetime. Is it strength training to stay mobile? Daily walking for heart health? Or maybe prioritizing sleep and recovery? Your answer could inspire someone else in the community to rethink their own routine.

Best, affordable, fitness tracker/watch for an avid swimmer?
Hey there, I'm looking for something I can wear in the pool for at least 30 minutes of swimming, drills, and main sets for swimming. I know most watches are "waterproof" for 50 meters depth, rather than continuous water exposure for prolong periods of time- I'm trying to see if anyone has good recommendations!

Taking Control of My Health Journey
Hi everyone! 👋 I recently started using the MyFitnessPal app, and I wanted to share a little bit about my experience so far. Hey everyone! We all know fitness and nutrition can feel overwhelming with so much information out there. But usually, there’s that one small habit that makes the biggest difference in the long run. Water & Exercise
I began using this app on October 5th. My mini goal right now is to drink more water every day. When I was working, I drank water regularly but not enough. As for exercise I used to walk 10-11,000 steps per day at work and went to the gym 3-4 times per week. Then my husband of 23 years died. I was his caregiver for 15+…

My Fitness Journey: Daily Check-Ins
I’ve been so inspired by people on here holding themselves accountable, so shoutout to 54shadesofblue and mikeyrowlands—seeing your posts made me want to start holding myself accountable in the same way. A little peer encouragement (pressure ;)) isn't such a bad thing! So, I just turned 21 (whoop whoop!), but truthfully -…
