Hi all!
Hey everyone! I'm Jason (38/m/California). I have been trying to find a community to help keep my motivation alive. I have friends who always say they want to start working out but never do. It's depressing being the only one in my network who enjoys burning calories. I have been getting back into shape for a few months…

Mistakes to avoid as a beginner?
Hi! I'm currently starting my second fitness journey after losing 50 lbs and gaining half of it back due to pretty much giving up on myself. I feel like a poor diet was my biggest downfall alongside that. As I spark this second journey back up, I was just wondering if there's any tips anybody could throw my way? To lose 50…

Certain parts of my body shake/tremble at certain positions. Why?
For some background, I'm a 23 year old female. Since I was about 9 I used the internet as an escape from the stresses I was facing in person/life. Without getting into detail, this went on until about November 2023, on which I stopped feeling the need to be online much and started feeling much better mentally, emotionally…

Hey, there.
I'm new to MyFitnessPal. I'm attempting to get back into better shape and health, and I chose this venue as a way to try. I've had some issues with disordered eating in the past, so my focus is not specifically on weight, but how my clothes fit and how I feel (energetic, etc.). Thank you for reading.

Old Newbie
good morning I've been here before. Before I didn't join the community. My weight has increased in the past 2 years from 78 kg to 94 kg. My intention is to reduce my weight, feel a lot better about myself and become more active after a period of intense work in a company which frankly could have served me much better.

I’m new here
Hey, my name is Betty, I’m 52, 5’1, and I was at 200lbs. I weighed at my doctor’s office last week and the scales said 193lbs, so I’m very pleased. I’m doing my best to eat better. To be completely honest, until I was thirty-something I’ve always weighed 87lbs. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression, so I got doctors…

Everybody is welcome to post here if you need a little extra motivation. September 1: my regular stretching routine, 25 minutes September 2: the same, 24 minutes September 3: again early morning stretching routine, 22 minutes. I don’t add my work to exercise although it adds a lot to my calorie burn.

Returning MFP user
Hello everyone, Lawrence here. I joined MyFitnessPal back in 2012 when I weighed 95 kg (202 lbs). Through exercise, proper diet, and the help of this app, I managed to lose weight, eventually reaching around 68-70 kg (149-155 lbs). And yeah I was on my 20's that time. However, over the years, I reverted to my old habits…

Hi everyone! I an doing a reverse diet to speed up my metabolism that was pretty tanked from 28 years of anorexia nervosa. I am working with a coach to do this, and though it is really hard seeing the number on the scale go up, I know I'm also building muscle (I workout at the gym 5 days a week) to help minimise fat gain…
