I am using my computer and I can click on exercise > data base and find what I am looking for and it shows the calories burned for that exercise once I enter in the time doing that exercise. BUT......how do I add that information into my exercise diary? There does not seem to be any add or enter icon to click on to add it to my exercise diary.
Thank You

When you find the exercise and enter the amount of time you did it, make sure you put a check beside that exercise, then at the bottom it will say, "Add checked". Click that and it should be part of your diary. After a while you may have a list of the exercises that you have done (so you don't have to search the data base). Checking the one or ones you've done that day and editing the time is very simple.

Unfortunately, at least on the web version there is no option to place a checkmark so that an option shows up to add it to my exercises for the day.

You don't do this via the Database tab in web browser MFP, you do it via the Exercise Diary tab.

Go to that tab, click "Add exercise" under the "Cardiovascular" heading, use the search box there to type in part of the name of the exercise. After you search, you'll get a list of matching exercises. Click on the one you want to log. Put the number of minute you did the thing in the "How Long" box, then click the "Add exercise" button.

As you log more often, you'll get a list of recent exercises after you click on "Add exercise" from the Exercise Diary tab. Then you can put in a number of minutes there to re-use an exercise, and click the check-box on that list to add it.

The process is similar in the phone/tablet app version of MFP, except that you start on the main dashboard page, or in the Exercise section of your food diary page.
