New Year's Resolutions
As we prepare to welcome the New Year, many of us will make resolutions. Many people on MFP will make resolutions about fitness and diet. Sometimes those resolutions will be lofty; we are setting ourselves up for failure. As like any other time of year, we need our goals to be difficult but achievable. We need them to be…

New to the journey
Hi there! 33 year old female, 5'5" and 255 lbs. Honestly haven't thought much of my weight in years and was under the blissfull ignorance I was still the same 230 I was at my doctor's appointment last summer 😆 Not that 230 is "ideal" for my height, but I digress. The only reasons I realized I gained was all of my pants are…

Tips for getting in "The Zone"
I'm trying to grow the time I spend "in the zone", a fully focused, optimized performance. I may not be Steph Curry knocking down 3's - but I find when my focus is on point so is my mood, attitude and my outcomes are improved. I know it may seem a bit corny, but this study has really helped me improve my overall quality of…

Running Tips?
Hi, I’m Kiwi. I’m a 24 year old female who works at a desk job for 8 hours a day. Since I’ve worked at this job, I’ve gained 32lbs making me 282lbs now. I’ve decided I want to start running for cardio, just to slim down. Is there a method to the madness? How do you run and not get tired? Is a “runner’s high” a real thing?…

Can someone help me please?
I'm looking for a way to view all of my entries without having to go back and forth on the computer. I want to print my diary and be able to have it on actual paper to compare. Could someone kindly help me figure out how to print? I appreciate all of your help! Thank you!

A second start
Greetings everyone. I was in the best shape of my life from 39-42 and a combination of Covid, mental health triggers, medication adjustments, addiction and depression put me back to, not square one, but down a few pegs on my fitness journey. I’m 46 now, running again, and using this app to remind me that I still have…

75 Hard
Has anyone embarked on The 75 Hard journey? I'm interested in starting it. Any success stories? I read this is the criteria 1.Choose a diet (if you're not following one already) and stick with it—that means no cheat days. Also, you have to cut out all alcohol. 2.Do two 45-minute workouts every day. One must be outside.…

Open discussion on the minds ability to influence the physical body......
I want to know how other people feel or think about this. Lately I have been listening to a lot of podcasts/videos about the "powers" of the mind. In that you can "manifest/will" (for lack of a better term) things into existence. An example of this would be, someone tells you, you can't do something, and you believe what…

Change is a marathon, not a sprint
Happy Friday, MFP fam! My name is Fred. Change is a marathon, not a sprint. With dedication and the support of this amazing community, there's nothing we can't achieve. Getting discouraged, how do you cope?
Even though I've lost 72lbs I'm still over weight. Just looking in the mirror I can't tell a difference now vs. at my heaviest. I'm just feeling frustrated that I've come so far and still have so much more to go. I get to thinking that I'll never be able to look how I picture myself in my head, because I've been overweight…

Hello!
Hi folks, I’m fairly new to this community and wanted to introduce myself. I would greatly appreciate any advice, as I don’t seem to be making any progress on my own.
