Returner - Testing Premium! 👑
Hi All! So back in 2015 I was using MFP while doing Keto/Low Carb and found it really helpful - but life got busy and I couldn’t sustain the low carb as well as I’d have liked… plus renovating a house for a year had me lose the weight - stress is great for weight loss 😆 Anyway… years on and of course the weight piled back…

Ability to adjust energy requirements due to ADHD stimulant medication
It would be really good to have an option (toggle switch?) to adjust my daily energy requirements to take into account my ADHD medication. I'm yet to find a health and fitness app that does this. I'd bet that whoever does implement something useful, would find themselves with a whole new customer base. My medication raises…

Bariatric Surgery Regain
Hi! Just re-joining MFP after a few years of chaos interrupting my personal goals. My name is Niki. I had gastric sleeve surgery in March of 2018, and lost nearly 100 pounds from that. Since 2020, I’ve had a baby, trudged through a global pandemic, and moved three times. During all that, I’ve managed to gain back 55 lbs.…

Need advice for stress management strategies
Need advice. Work stress is really getting to me this week, and it looks like next week is going to be even crazier. My response lately has been to graze on junk food all day, and then I’m not hungry for actual balanced meals. Looking for a more healthy response?

Forgiving myself with stumbles?
Anyone else had a bad day with food choices or watching the scale go the wrong direction, or both? How did you keep it from frustrating and discouraging you?

Autoimmune disease/ -30 lbs down / body image issues
All the drugs I'm on has made it difficult to lose weight. The joint pain from RA has made it real difficult to keep working out sometimes. But I’ve lost 30 lbs in 3.5 months so far (BMI dropped from 32 to 26) and still not happy with the way I look. Beginning to think I have body image issues and I will have problems…

Living in a new and temporary location while looking for a new house. Of course, all of this affects my weight, which has been trending upward: +13lbs from my goal…

Back to the beat!
Good morning all! My name is Liz, it's been a LONG time since I've been on. I used to used MFP to manage weight for sport-specific goals, where they require weight management down to a tenth of a pound - but am here for a different reason now. I'm 29 and trying to "get back on the horse" after a death in the family, a…

Tips for maintaining a positive mindset?
How do you change your mindset when you’re having a really bad day? I feel like I’m so far behind in work, chores around the house, creative pursuits… everything. And despite eating like crap the past week, the scale still says I’ve lost weight when I’m trying desperately to gain. I want to try and reset my mind but I…

Returning with renewed passion - Covid years and derailing
So it's been a long time since I last felt like I had control and I know I'm not alone in this, so let's get talking about it instead of bottling it up. Between 2016 and 2018, I managed to lose over 8st (100+lbs). I felt great, I was happier with my weight and the way my body performed. In 2019, I struggled with my job…

Hi everyone! I'm Chris. Just trying to cut this weight for good. I've had success in the past, but the hardest part is keeping it off. I turn 30 soon, and I'd like to finish this period of my life on a strong note, and hoping it carries over into a healthy new chapter.
