What's your NSV this week?
My body has been big for as long as I can remember. I am scared to have less of this body that has done well by me over the years. I have never known myself as an adult to be under 300lbs. As I approach it I find myself trying to focus less on the scale, and more on other benefits to the changes happening. Yesterday (on my…

Today I walked on my own -Bye bye scooter?
My husband and I both have a severe cold, we both got an earache and a fever overnight and I made an appointment with an urgent care office for Sunday morning. It’s a huge building with modern, long hallways. They have rolling chairs in the lobby, for people who can’t walk very well. I started using these chairs about six…

My Fitness Journey: Daily Check-Ins
I’ve been so inspired by people on here holding themselves accountable, so shoutout to 54shadesofblue and mikeyrowlands—seeing your posts made me want to start holding myself accountable in the same way. A little peer encouragement (pressure ;)) isn't such a bad thing! So, I just turned 21 (whoop whoop!), but truthfully -…

New here
Hi, I found myself feeling stuck after retiring which seems crazy. I was active and feeling full of purpose. It’s been a year now, and gained all the weight I lost 10 years ago after being cancer free. I am married 37 years and have a beautiful family including 2 grandchildren. I want to feel good, look good and be healthy…

so I was seeing my weight melting off for about a month. Now I’m up a few pounds I’ve been eating pretty healthy & have been seeing my stomach going down. Could it be muscle?

New to MFP with a lot to lose, but so much to gain!
My name is Katherine and I am 62. After some substantial health problems, and subsequent weight gain, I am taking ownership and back control of my Heath. I just registered for an Ultra Marathon in Tunisia this October, so I am “all-in” on my fitness journey! While I am not oblivious to the challenges of marathon running,…

Walking Warriors, let me hear you!
Walking is a low-impact exercise that can lift your spirits, retain/build some muscle, and expose you to sunlight and nature My story I injured myself (peroneal tendonitis in both legs) during a 10k. I used to run half marathons and confused myself into believing I could interval-run a 10k at my current (much heavier than…

Bring Back Plans!
Removing the Plans feature and replacing it with a meal planner that requires a more expensive premium plan has ruined this app for me. I am a premium member, but I really loved the Plans, and I have no interest in buying a more expensive membership to use the meal planner. You took away a great feature from everyone and…

Thoughts on DeerRun Z10 Pro walking pad/treadmill?
Hello all, as the title states, I am looking for any feedback on the DeerRun Z10 Pro walking pad / treadmill since I am thinking about buying it. At $369 for a maximum 8 mph and 12% auto incline, it seems like it's everything I am looking for in a walking pad. If anyone has experience with DeerRun generally, I'd like to…

Self-care and Depression
Hey guys. When I feel blue (extra depressed/sad) I lose my ability to care about myself - ie, not logging food, not eating as well, not going for a walk or doing my PT exercises. My usual Christian practices lapse too & when I do pray it doesn’t help. Any thoughts on how to overcome this cr*p??

New training program increased my resting heart rate 🤔
I wanna be a runner! I like the feeling of running, I enjoy it and want to do more of it. I honestly don’t know if I’m doing it right. I probably need a coach or at the least a running store. Since the weather has cooled down around here I’ve started back walking 1-2x daily 4-5 days a week with the intention to advance to…
