    I live in Michigan, too - middle of the mitten's palm, basically. I've been here for almost 10 years, about a year of weight loss, and maintenance since (after around 30 pre-loss years of overweight/obesity). MyFitnessPal can work, if we work with it.

    Wishing you success - in my experience, the quality of life improvement is more than worth the effort!
