  • I have a wii but don't have the dance game but one of the things that I have been doing is during my work day I take a break, put on some music, and just dance around my office. It's an intense enough activity that it always registered on my Fitbit. But yes dancing is one of my favorite workouts.
  • I lost my parents about a year apart. We had family members who really got ugly about the settling of their estate. I really fell apart after that and reverted to stress eating. Before I knew it I had put back on a lot of weight but am still a little over 100 pounds lighter than I was when I started my journey. You can do…
  • My Fitbit tracks steps per day, exercise, general moderate/intense activity, what I eat, and when I sleep. When I sync it with MFP I do my food journal on MFP and my exercise on Fitbit. But I also have a calories burn calculator. I run the exercise through that and if the calories are different then I edit the exercise in…
  • I'm in! I've lost 17 pounds so far with 43 pounds to go. If you job involves a lot of desk work get a balance ball or a balance ball chair and periodically use that as your chair. Here is a link for some exercises you can do at or near your desk.…
  • Agree that you probably should see your physician. But I am a healthcare professional and this is one of the handouts given to patients who have been diagnosed with axial chronic low back pain.
  • I'm in and ready to be bootylicious! B)
  • That's why I don't eat them very often and don't ever eat a whole bar at once. But it's nice to have a little treat every now and then. ;)
  • I cut them into bite size pieces and place three pieces in little containers. When I want a treat I take one container and microwave them. I don't eat them very often mainly because of the cost but it really does make a nice little treat that is basically a healthy choice. B)
  • The vanilla almond crunch is the only one I am really addicted to because it tastes just like a Bit-O-Honey. I like to warm it up and if I'm traveling I put it on the dash board. When I microwave a bar I like to cut it up into bite size pieces and just eat a few as a treat.
  • Try this website. It's got a lot of information regarding the management of low back pain. http://backstrengtheningexercisesva.blogspot.com/2015/01/back-strengthening-exercises-core_29.html Here is a patient handout for low back pain exercises. Hope these help and you feel better soon.
  • I know! It's why I check in every day. I need a good laugh!!!! B)
  • Mine is closed for basically the same reason. There are days when I use the personal notes. I also just set it so that my exercise doesn't automatically post either. When I log my exercises on MFP I follow the calories burned according to my Fitbit not the calculations here. I don't bother looking at anyone's open diary…
  • I don't use it as a substitute for mayo or sour cream but I do mix it with those in any recipe that calls for mayo or sour cream. I also use it a the base for my protein smoothies. And yes, yes, yes...using it for Tzatziki sauce. Now that I've discovered Greek yogurt I can't stand any of the other yogurts with that slimy…
  • It won't effect his popularity at all but in the medical community, his credibility will be significantly compromised. If fools want to follow his false claims we can't stop them but he will be a laughing stock to the medical community which will eventually compromise his reputation in the lay community because he will…
  • I WOULD LIKE YOUR ACTUAL STATISTICS ON THIS! It's always I know someone who knows someone. And these kinds of post always start with "I don't mean to offend" "I don't mean to start an argument." That's exactly what the poster intend. Before you post some anecdotal story, please at least try to educate yourself about weight…
  • Once again, the OP said he would take this post down if he could. He's been advised that all he had to do is contact the moderator to take it down and yet this post remains.
  • I'd be happy to take that journey with you! Will friend you right now!
  • Usually I'm a smoothie gal. I put the ingredients in my Magic Bullet Blender cup the night before and then in the morning all I have to do is pull it out of the fridge and blend. This is my basic smoothie. 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 scoop Isopure Unflavored protein powder, single serve container of Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla…
  • Yum!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to try that. I have all the ingredients in my fridge and pantry.
  • Good morning to you! I'll friend you right now! B)
  • That's a wonderful accomplishment. And you are now in Onederland!
  • Lately I've just been turning on some music and dancing my butt off! So now I'm thinking about taking some dance classes like Zumba or Jazzercise. But I also walk for 30 minutes every single day.
  • My favorite dressing is just 2 tablespoons of any kind of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of olive or canola oil, and dashes of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place all ingredients in a small mason jar and shake. Sometimes I will add some blue cheese or feta cheese crumbles for a little added flavor. And you can add some chopped…
  • It's been my experience that when someone prefaces a comment with "I don't mean to offend anyone" that the person actually meant to offend. See I think offending posters was exactly your goal. You haven't had WLS, you have a complete ignorance to the process, so I am going to ask once again. What was the actual purpose of…
  • "There are groups for this sort of topic. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/groups" Are you saying that the OP doesn't have the right to create her own discussion "because there are groups for this sort of topic"? I'm nine years out and maintained a 100+ pound weight loss. For me it was not the "easy way" out, it was…
  • I am nine years post RNY. I have maintained a weight loss of 100+ pounds. I've gained some back so I've recommitted myself and following the guidelines I was given when I had my surgery. I know it feels like you are jumping through hoops but this is a very drastic lifestyle change and your surgeon needs to know that you…
  • My Heath Bar Latte is 1/2 cup of almond milk heated, 1 packet or scoop of chocolate protein, 8oz. coffee, and several drops of English Toffee liquid. This is prepared the same way as my other lattes. For protein pudding, I use a box of sugar free pudding and ready to drink vanilla protein. Then you just follow the…
