Upping my water intake. We got a new fancy smart scale that takes aaaaalll the measurements so I figure it’s one easy thing I can control and track.

In my first week of keto and loving it. Too soon to say much else... but seriously surprised by how much I love it and don’t miss any foods yet. Interested in others experiences as well.

I’m aiming for 31 miles for May to get me back into the habit. I’m coming back to running. I’ve done a couple half marathons in the past and there have been periods where I’ve been pretty consistent but it’s been a while. Looking forward to the challenge!

I agree with this. You can fall into either category: the one that needs to cut certain foods out for a time or just moderate. Also I would add, Be Prepared. Consider creating a few sample days in your diary ahead of time to see what a day with your set calorie goal looks like. Fill it with foods you like and will eat and…

Whenever I stop working out for a while, I always have to ease back into it. Not just because of soreness, but because I don't want to injure anything. Remember that the body does need rest to recover. I would add some rest days into your week. Also, after sticking with it over a longer period of time, you will stop…

Late to the post. I also find myself in a position to a loved one with a medical condition and I know there are things that he should do to remain healthy and not in pain that he does not want to do. I feel your pain. It is so hard to watch but I CANNOT force him to do anything-ultimately as many others have stated, it is…

Libra diet: only eat meals where all the portions of food on the plate weigh exactly the same

I see that you've lost 19 pounds, which if you've only been truly committed for the past few months, is not bad at all. Like others have already said, make sure you're accurate about servings sizes and use a scale. And patience! You got this. One other note...beware of gimmicks or toogoodtobetrue miracle fixes like putting…

This. Personally, I love swimming as a full body cardio exercise that's easy on joints and gives some resistance. And it's totally serene.

Tried them because of MFP, cookies & cream is the only one I truly like. Don't like the aftertaste of the microwaved chocolate chip cookie one. I like them for their stats and taste over protein drinks. I want to chew something and feel food in my belly!

EW. unsolicited advice is the worst. and this section is called "Motivation and Support" and really...if you're not here to do that then get out.

Sorry that happened to you. My first thought is 10 years is a long time to hold on to something like that. If you have new friends and really don't care about any of your old ones, then just ignore it; no harm there. I don't see any harm in reconnecting though either. If they still seem like bad friends, you can just…

Thanks SideSteel, that helps clear things up

congratulations! I think you're experience is typical, not giving it any discredit! It takes a long time to get to where you ended up, like you said. I think it's possible to consider that some people might not get to where you got or might feel it's too slippery of a slope to go back to their trigger foods. Not…

If my cravings are super bad, I'll get one of those really small single serve cups of the good stuff- for example-haagen daaz. The low-cal stuff doesn't really satisfy and if I get a bigger one I know I'll just eat the whole thing anyway.

OP-congratulations on the myriad of choices you have made to put your health first! and thank you for joining us here on MFP. I think it's important to recognize your trigger foods-those foods that are really hard to put down once you pick them up. you've probably learned by now, that the forums here have their own…

pure vanity. I'm a healthy weight atm and my goal weight is healthy too, just smaller. My main goals are lowering BF and getting stronger. I'm ok if the scale goes up.

sure, I'll agree with that.

give it a couple days and keep your fluids and fiber up. (husband just went through this a couple weeks ago.) if you don't move in a day or two, maybe call your doctor and they can prescribe you something. they sent my husband home with meds for that.
