June was a disaster! I allowed stress and anxiety to win. Re-dedicating myself to good habits: 10000 steps per day 30+ minutes of exercise per day Stay in calorie range per day

Yes, needed this laugh!!!

Thank you, Jim. I will know more when I sit down with the orthopedic surgeon. Leaning towards having them removed since this pain will only get worse. I had a flare up about a year ago that got pretty intense. Just not looking forward to another surgery.

I agree with setting a max. Even though I'm new to maintenance I have developed good habits over the last two years and have gotten to know what my body needs. If I can stay within a 4 pound window I will be happy.

Oh I definitely know this is not real weight. I'm really just trying to document the journey. I love comments by others because I learn so much!

Put on a pair of jeans for school today and they were loose. I thought they were a pair of my size 8. NOPE! They were a pair of size 6!!!!

My progress the first year was due to calorie deficit and regular Zumba and weight training 3-5 days a week. During this time I was using a point system to track my food but around December I realized I was not eating enough to feed my workouts. I'm thinking the calorie level with that system was 1200 or less. That's when…

That is EXACTLY what I meant. There comes a time when the scales WILL NOT move, but other things like loose clothing, progress pictures, etc. show that your body is changing. The scales are not the be all end all of weight loss. However, in the beginning of my journey, I weighed religiously. There just comes a point when…

Still a work in progress. The last pic was about 4 or 5 months ago. Need to get a current one taken. This is a 58 pound loss.

I'm 49 YO, starting weight 208 at 5'4". I'm now at 152. I began my journey using weight watchers points and did well. But when I started weight training I had to switch to calorie counting because I was starving to death. My trainer helped me calculate calories and I'm at 1800-2000 calories a day depending on my workout. I…

How many calories are you taking in?
-
5000 BTU air conditioner or the equivalent of one of my second graders

I am 5'4" and have lost a total of 55 pounds through diet, weight training, and Zumba. It took me about a year and a half to do so in order to make the changes stick. My best advice is to look down the road a year and ask yourself if you can maintain a regimen for that long. You want your changes to be true, maintainable…

That is possible. I know I had to up my calories significantly to meet the demands of my workouts.
