I put the pump in myself so if it is just about whether others insert the needles or not, that should not be a problem. As far as having both type 1 and type 2, it is commonly misunderstood that the same person cannot have both. I've often said that they should have totally different names because they are totally…

I am 5'4 and 125 lbs. I feel like my legs are huge and muscular! I try to roll them out on the foam roller, and I noticed a huge difference! Everyone must get one!
-
@whmscll That is a great idea. Even eating half of what they give you could help. and YEAHHHH for hiking!! We are taking a trip to NH in 2 weeks for a hike and I cannot wait! Have fun!!

Thank you for the compliment! WOW you go!!! That is some accomplishment yourself!! Love the goals you've set for yourself too :) Everyone reacts to foods differently. For me, bagels, Chinese food and pizza are the death of me, which stinks bc I could eat those everyday and I am constantly craving them!!

Oh I do remember the exchange diet! I didn't know you could have both 1 and 2? I'm so afraid to get on the pump because of the above post I just wrote back ^^^ lol I am such a baby!

Look at us! twins! I am so afraid to go on the pump. They tried it out on me and the minute they stuck my side I passed out..I am the weirdest diabetic ever. I can give myself shots all day long, but when it comes to blood tests or anyone doing it TO me, I am OUT lol. AHH I say that all the time!! I wish I wasn't stupid in…

I take Fitmiss supplements but haven't tried the protein powder yet. I have the HERWHEY chocolate eclair....it is AMAZING. I like it bc its one of those powders you can put with milk, coffee, or just water! =D

Thanks everyone! =) @CNoitez welcome to the club! lol. Just be careful of the carbs you intake and try to start off slow with working out - like walking 30 min a day to help control the sugar levels. I too get pins and needles / arms feeling numb once in a while which is scary, but its all part of the disease. Sucks, but…

As long as your not having McDonalds for breakfast, Taco Bell for lunch, and Wendy's for Dinner, I think you are ok. lol. I think eating healthy two out of the three meals is a great way to stay motivated, reward yourself AND not feel so guilty about "cheating'. Good idea =)

@ellamaries You are so right!!

HOLLA for the beetus! I am type one and have been for 20 years - its all about knowing how many carbs you can eat a day and adjusting your insulin. I usually have a protein shake before or right after a work out and check my sugars a few hours before and after to make sure I am on the right track. good luck!!!

My trainer and I have had this talk many times! I've been working with him since December, and although I may look strong and healthy, I still want to lose that last 10 lbs. ( I am sitting at 125) He told me upping my cardio to 45 minutes and strength training 2-3 times a week should help shed the "fat". Depending on how…

I would just log it as you would your food. I am concerned about this weekend with drinking as too, I don't drink as much as I used to! Make sure it fits into your daily calorie intake for the day :) congrats! and cheers!

I got my foam roller at Target...they are a little pricey in my opinion, but it does wonders!! There are plenty of videos you can follow to learn how to roll out different parts of your body. good luck!

Ah! I did not want my post to come across that way AT ALL - I just blog about what my daily routine has been and what my results have been so far to kick start my weight loss and fitness journey. I am not trying to sell anything - please everyone get that out of your heads! My bad! I am sorry if anyone else felt that way!
-
I am diabetic...and I pee all the time lol. It could be because you are running higher than normal. I am type 1 though, I would check with your doc. How many times are you going? I'm usually around 5/6 sometimes more depending on how much I am drinking -

GREAT job!!!!

Great story!! I am also divorced and had that same motivation mind set to "get back at him and everyone we were family / friends with" but the divorce was my decision and I believe for all of the right reasons which I could get into if you were really interested =P Anyway - so proud of your journey! Not only did you become…

I could eat it EVERY SINGLE DAY of my life if I could, but being diabetic and trying to watch carbs - I would just die. lol Some places let you get brown rice with your rolls! I would look into that!! =)

Try doing some breathing exercises - I have the same problem, and I noticed when I do that the night before or a half hour before I usually keep the pace. I tend to "hold" my breath when I run =( I try chewing gum too that really helps lol. good luck! and yay for being a cancer survivor!! stay strong!
