Hi, I'm 42 and in the UK, always been a sci fi freak and love HP and HDM, I tend to walk mostly for exercise (out walking the dog mainly - crazy dog lady you could say). Add me if you'd like, I could do with some motivation, I've been at this a long time, and have hit a bit of a low point, trying not to undo all the good…

Well lots of luck, it's worked for me, so I'm sure it will work for you too, lots of luck x

hi, I think i've sent everyone in this thread a friend request, if i missed you, oops sorry, send me a request instead. I've lost 7.5 stone, I did get to 8 stone but 7 cheeky pounds have snuck back on during the six months I decided to stop logging on mfp, I've been back just over a week and am finding it hard to reign it…

I walk the dog, its good thinking time, allows you to wind down an burns a few calories too

basically anything dairy, cheese makes me really itchy... and I love cheese, plus i'm a veggie, so I have a daily struggle with what I fancy eating versus my skin condition. I developed eczema through stress a couple of years ago, cold weather and strong toiletries also make it worse for me.

Ive lost 109 1bs so far using this app over about a 2 year period, (slowly does it)...it has taught me about portion sizes, and my stomach has shrunk, which helps me keep in my daily allowance, im also a walking encyclopedia of calorie content in foods!

Hi, I'm 41, no kids (1 fur child) and based in the UK, I have a desk job too, my only exercuse really is walking the dog, I've been at this along time, have lost a lot, but still some to go, add me if you would like to, good luck

Thanks for sharing, best of luck with it all, loved reading about the donuts, they smell amazing still but I've found that don't taste so good to me anymore. For your slogan, something like 'just keep moving' as in moving forward, moving as in exercise, moving on etc etc (not very inventive I know)

Hi, you can do it, just concentrate on one stone at a time, I lost 7 stone, slowly though, about 18 months or so, all I did was diet and walking. Don't have to walk loads, just do what you can manage, and you'll find that over time you can walk further. Be kind to yourself and don't put too much pressure on by setting…

Add me :)

Good luck with it, I have found the slow but steady approach has worked for me, but we are all different. I have preferred to lose weight at a slower rate so that I don't have to cut everything out of my diet, that way I am more likely to stick to it. Try and make lifestyle changes, rather than an all or nothing diet. Best…

I'm a fellow veggie, I would suggest limiting the amount of dairy intake if you can and I also try and limit carbs, particularly bread. But you're doing great, and calorie counting is really all about everything in moderation.

Hi, well done by the way, you have had a similar weight loss as me, I started out at 19 stone and am currently 12st 7lb. It's taken me about 18 months which is pretty slow going, mainly because the only exercise I have done up until now has been walking. I'm finding it a bit harder now as there are less calories to play…

Hi, I'm 40 and Female. I've always carried a lot of weight in my legs (thighs in particular), now ive lost a fair bit of weight I have saggy skin in my legs. I think upping the exercise is key, this will help firm things up, don't resort to surgery straight away, and keep going, your overall health is more important than…

Hi, I'm epileptic, having said that it has been 24 years since my last seizure (I'm 40). I've always struggled with being overweight, I think medication may not have helped, but I know I have used this as an excuse in the past.
