  • I think a lot of people set themselves up for failure when they just jump right into a brand new lifestyle. It's awesome that you're logging your food, healthy eating choices will come eventually. There's no quick fix for weight loss, just drink lots of water, push yourself to pour sweat either at the gym or at home. Don't…
  • Yeah, I lift 5-6 times a week. Usually heavy with some like skipping or interval sprints.
  • Thanks everyone! What exactly is Strong Curves?
  • That makes sense, maybe I'm hitting traps/shoulders to close to leg day.... I just don't really feel any discomfort in my traps or anywhere when holding the bar, it feels completely normal but the bar looks ridiculous I do that's why I'm so confused on why this is happening, I've been doing the warm ups that Bradley Martyn…
  • Thanks for your help everyone! My form or how I hold/place the bar hasn't changed, at least I don't think so. I'm doing everything the same as I have been since I've started squatting. I tried just taking the weight off of the bar and just getting a feel for new positioning and it was still happening. Maybe I'm just…
  • Thanks everyone I really appreciate the feedback!
  • Thanks everyone for your feedback! I'm eating about 1700 calories a day and I strength train 6-7 times a week. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to what cardio to do because I never ever do it. I occasionally do some interval sprints. I think I'll give fasted cardio a try maybe some mornings! Thanks again
  • Anything under 1200 calories is a starvation diet. You're eating too little! I was eating 1200 calories and going to the gym and I started to look "skinny fat" but for a couple months I've had my calories set to 1700 and I've been losing weight and looking better! Food isn't your enemy :) I would stick with the number…
  • What you eat in private will show in public!
  • Sometimes I will pack my own food or just bring a protein bar! But I have never done that at a restaurant, only if my family or friends want to go out for ice cream or something like that! Eat what you want and enjoy time with your family celebration! :) everything in moderation! I still try to log as best as I can when I…
  • Im 5'2, bottom heavy and small waist/little boobs. I eat 1700 calories a day and strength train 6 times a week. I have myfitnesspal set to losing 1 pound a week but I try not to focus on the scale number because muscle weighs more than fat! When I was trying to lose weight I had myfitnesspal set to 1200 calories…
  • Honestly it happens, some days I wake up and I'm just in one of those I want to eat the entire fridge moods. I get through my cravings now by eating every 2-3 hours so I don't binge. I make yummy healthy food and that really helps. How many calories are you eating a day? Since I left the whole "dieting" thing and changed…
  • It depends honestly! If I make overnight oats, I'll prep them for 3 days. I don't really eat a wide variety of foods so my days are very similar. I've heard it's really good to eat the same meals and at the same time every day but that's too much for me!
  • It just depends on what works for you! I personally try to make my biggest meal my breakfast and my smallest meal dinner because the way I look at it, I have all day to burn off my breakfast/need fuel for the day! But that doesn't mean I sit down and eat 50% of my calorie intake for breakfast. I try to eat every 2-3 hours…
  • I find when I lift heavy like 5 sets of 3-8 reps, I'm not really super sore the next day. But when I do lighter weight 5 sets of 10-15 I'm super sore. Maybe your body is just starting to adjust to the workouts you've been doing, it's hard to say because I don't know what machines you're working on! I still get great…
  • That's a really good idea, I was doing a bit of yoga before just with ap on my phone, im going to try getting into it again :) Thank you so much!
  • I totally agree with the comment above! It just depends on your goal. Personally, I strength train because I want to be strong and toned but still have a thicker lower body! I rarely ever do cardio, when I want to lean out a bit more I will just drop set or super set my workouts! I rarely ever do cardio, sometimes I will…
  • I was on the same page as you girl! Honestly, I don't do more than 15 minutes of cardio unless it's a random day where I have feel like doing more. Im still leaning out. I would maybe try supersetting/drop setting your workouts that always helps me sweat and work so much harder! I wouldn't decrease your lifting time for…
  • I've heard it's really bad to take potassium supplements because too much potassium (obviously a big amount) can be deadly. I struggle reaching my pottasium goal to but lately I've been drinking those v8 low sodium veggie shots and they have quite a bit of pottasium!
  • Im not trying to lose weight Thank you so much! Keep me updated :) and goodluck with your goals girl
  • Thank you! And im 20! I think currently it's set to 40% carbs, 35% protein and 25% fat I think that leaves my protein intake to 148g which im not sure if I should be having more and 170g of carbs. Maybe I'll try to increase my calories to 1800 than increase my protein and fat but still leave my carb at 170?
  • Currently just whey protein post workout, and occasionally pre workout depending on how im feeling! Than just my multi and fish oils daily
  • Thanks everyone for the insight!!
  • I log my meals/snacks the day before, and pack up all the food and put it in a lunch bag with a few exceptions like my eggs and stuff. That why I can look at myfitnesspal and know what I'm eating that day!
  • I hope you reach your goal weight! :)
  • Have you ever tried carb cycling? I don't really know much about it, but like a high carb day and a low carb day? Yeah, I wish this ap did that so I could know!
  • Awesome thank you so much! :)
  • Yeah I think that's right! It's hard because you can't log your weight training just cardio on here. Before I was eating 1200 calories and training hard at the gym, not thinking i was pretty much starving myself and my muscles so I bumped it up to 1697. I lift 5-6 times a week for probably an hour to two hours. Yeah, I do.…
  • I think I have mine set to losing a pound a week as well, I just want to turn my fat into muscle! I've heard that too, I struggle reaching my protein goal because I try to get most of it from foods not powders. Thanks for your help! Goodluck with your goals! :)
  • Awesome! Im going to give that a try :) thanks so much
