  • PT's like anything come in many flavors, it is important when you are looking for one to talk about what you are trying to archive and what your goals are. I went through three different PT's before I found one that would listen and work with me to get me on track. I wanted to build muscle but not bulk up, I wanted to gain…
  • You need to take a look at your nutrition levels, eating just low calories is good to a point but if you are not getting a good balance of what your body needs it starts to slip into a starvation mode making it very hard to loose weight. Also while cardio workouts such as zumba and running are great for your overall health…
  • Did all of that and even tried on a different computer, but still no good. I'm thinking something got corrupted when I changed my password, and unless I can get thru to someone in their support tier its not going to let me login.

  • If you only do elliptical you can get your body used to it to the point that you really don't lose weight that much, you do improve your health, but for best results you need to change up your work outs. Do one day on the treadmill, one on the elliptical one on the bike or rowing machine and then either a good run or power…
  • It depends on the gym, most none fabulous type gyms, don't matter at all most people there are so wrapped up in their own workout they seldom notice anyone else. If it helps I started going at 325 pounds I'm down to 182 now and still going. My advice get some workout clothes that fit properly, get some great tunes and go…
  • Problem with slim fast is it is just a temp fix, unless you plan to use it everyday for the rest of your life, and to be honest if you closely at the stuff its not that healthy. You should instead look at changing your lifestyle and eating better and less. Eat at least three meals a day, keep your carbs low as possible,…
  • I go to Fleet Feet and have been very impressed with the care that they show in getting the proper fit, I've had a lot of problems with my feet that seemed to go away once I had shoes that fit better.
  • I usually have celery, jalapeno peppers, broccoli, and carrots with a mixture of hummus and peanut butter. On my workout days I add a quest protein bar.

  • It tends to be more about maturity than real age, if you find you are compatible, and enjoy each others company age has little to do with it.
  • Sometimes its hard to tell if someone is simply ignoring you or as so distracted that they are unaware of even where they are.
  • Just from what I have learned over the years you would be better and probably get more benefit from changing you workout a little, I would go with a straight 30 minutes of strength training then finish with 35 minutes on the bike one day and either a walk or an elliptical trainer the next. Also make sure you are doing your…
  • Do not judge progress just by weight, keep in mind that muscle per volume weights more than fat. I went for months not losing any weight by lost several inches off my waist at the same time. Mostly because I was building up muscle mass and losing excess fat.
  • I have a simple solution I take what ever the machine gives me divide by 100 and use that number.
  • I was just one number away from having to start medication for type 2 Diabetes, but I managed to change my lifestyle to include healthier eating habits, and more exercise. • Fat is not all that bad for you, Carbs are what you need to cut down on. Depending on your workout intensity a increased intake of Protein and fat is not bad. Now high fat low protein foods different story, but if you are getting required protein with the fat than for the most part it should be ok, but like with everything…
  • Most important thing is to learn to say no. No to lunches with friends at fast food joints, no to donuts at the morning meetings and mostly no to your self as you feel your self control slipping. Consider it a lot like smoking, its hard at first, but as you do it you will learn and adapt into it. One very important thing,…

  • I have found that the surest way to gain weight is to go on a diet. If you want to loose weight and get healthy you need to adopt a new lifestyle, not just a fad. Very few can "stick" to a diet plan for more than a few months, then they start slipping and before you know they have gained all their weight back and then…
  • Also remember that Muscle weighs more than fat, I had this issue when I first started working out. I was loosing inch's but not weight, finally my muscle mass balanced out and I started to loose again.
  • I usually take a small bag of vegetables, "Celery, radishes, baby carrots, jalapeno peppers and broccoli" and s package of hummus. It keeps me at about 100 calories for lunch but still fills you up.
