  • Practice with fuel during your training runs. Make sure your clothes are comfortable ones you have worn before, so no rubbing wrong. Drink plenty of fluids the week of your race, especially the 2 days before. Hydration is very important, don't just rely on the water stations, I like my water running belt. Also visualize…
  • I love rock climbing. I have been doing it for a year now. It is a fantastic burn and builds great muscle tone in arms, shoulders back and legs. Outdoor climbing is totally different than indoor both are fantastic. I recommend getting rock climbing shoes. Having your own is nice, they are not over worn like the rentals. I…
  • Of course being fitted at a running store is best but since you do not have this option you can go on to brooks running shoe site and it will walk you thru some test to determine the right type of shoe for you based on your running patterns and how your foot lands. This is important to avoid injuries. I have own both…
  • I started my weight loss journey end of March and I am down over 30 lbs. last 8 to go. Just take it day by day and do not obsess on the scale. Workout hard and meal plan. Progress can be slow but it is still progress. Feel free to add me we can support each other.
  • I love my specialized road bike. I highly recommend going to a real bike shop and test riding the bikes. Most bike shops will allow you to take the bike out for several hours to test ride it. Getting properly fitted for a bike is a must and you simply cannot get quality or fitted properly at Walmart.
  • I find it to be fairly accurate depending on the activity. Running and cycling tend to be fairly on track but when I rock climb I think it way over estimates calories. I do make sure that my stats for height and weight are out in properly as well.
  • I use map my run.
  • Feel free to add me. I'm a runner too. My next run is in October 10 mile race, we can encourage each other.

  • Feel free to add me I'm on daily and have an open diary. We can motivate each other
  • I'm on daily. Feel free to add me, my diary is open and I exercise often. We can motivate each other.
  • Sounds like your doing great. It is normal to have these plateaus. I suggest measuring yourself as the scale can be deceiving at times. Inches lost may be more accurate. Maybe a few days of increasing your calories so when you go back down it confuses your body so it does not get stuck on the lower calories as the norm.…

  • Wow great job. You look amazing. Running is an amazing sport. I run as well as part of my exercise routine. Excellent job all around. I'm working on loosing some weight as I prepare for a 10 mile run in October. Thanks for sharing your journey.
  • I go twice a week to a local gym and Boulder and top rope. Lots of fun. Yoga pants are fine. Anything comfortable. Like most exercises you need to build up strength over time. Also don't let your fears get in the way.
  • I use Map my Run to track all exercises. Then sync it to MFP
  • I usually do one egg scramble cook in microwave 1 minute toast 100 calorie thin bread and 5 minutes later you got a breakfast sandwich you can eat on the go. 170 calories total. Add a banana on the side
  • Swimming is great. Others can't see your body in the water. Just getting in and out. So hop in and out quick. What others think does matter. Good for you for going and doing something about it. Go.....no excuses.
  • Hang them in my closet along with my bibs with my stats from the race. It's a good reminder of what I have accomplished!
  • I use my inhaler 20 minutes before exercise. I too suffer with asthma but I run and stay very active even with the asthma. You gotta show your asthma who's boss. Also talk with your dr to see if you need a daily asthma medicine.
  • I'm doing the same thing. Want to improve my times and have set to do a 10 mile race in the fall. You can do it small steps at a time. 135 goal what is your height?
