Good stuff. You'll be very welcome in Ireland. Cycling helped me too. I did the Great Western Greenway with my family a couple of years ago. Check out the link below. https://www.independent.ie/life/travel/ireland/7-amazing-cycles-in-ireland-fresh-air-for-every-fitness-level-35607012.html

Maintained. 1 week - 1 kg. Next week - down another 1 kg. Target date is 17th January.

3 days gone andalready registering a 1 kg drop. Need to maintain this to next Tuesday to make it definite.

Thanks guys. I've done a dummy run on my days without alcohol, junk food & sweets and my calorie intake is incredibly low without them, less than a thousand calories. Today will be my first day without any rubbish food in about six months. The old adage of "what gets measured, gets done" is so true.
-
I was actually thinking it was too low, but will see how it goes.

Set a realistic goal. Aim to get down to 255 by the end of the month. Just do that. Set a new goal next week. You will achieve it if you set the right goal and make a plan.

Had the same thing for years. One day I saw a photo of myself with the "fat guy" from our group and I was as fat. There's no magic formula but here are a few things that can help: * Stick a post it note on your pc at work telling you to have water instead of a snack. * Stick one on your fridge asking if you're hungry or…

This is beyond AWESOME! B)

Know how you feel. Put on a couple of KG since I hit my target weight. Keep putting it off and saying "Ah, it's justa couple of KG, I'll do it tomorrow." There is no tomorrow, only today.

Probably best to go to a physiotherapist. They will devise a programme for you. It might sound obvious but in some countries, the term physiotherapist, isn't protected so you could end up with someone who went to university...or you could end up with someone who uses Google. Make sure whoever you go to is accredited. Don't…

Congrats from Ireland. You look 30 years younger now.
-
Depends on how many people are involved, I guess.

To quote Alf from Home and Away "Streuth - Good on ya!" Keep going, you're doing great.

Sofia Vergara. There's three things I love about her and one of them is her face.

You can do it. If you lose 2 pounds, then that is a victory - own it and be proud and move on to your next 2 pounds. You can do it!

Well said.

If I get a six pack by March, I am going to buy an Omega watch!

Give me an A Give me a W Give me an E Give me an S Give me an O Give me an M Give me an E AWESOME

Here's the deal - your family have their own insecurities - but they don't have to be yours. Go to the gym. Say **** You to anybody who doesn't like it.
-
Good for you.

Everybody stuggles - that's the big secret. Set yourself a very short term goal - 1kg (2lbs) in 1 week. Keep track of everything - I mean everything. Drink loads of water. Be honest with yourself. Aim for just one day at first. "Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt." In…

It's very hard to motivate yourself to lose a big amount of weight. Here's the deal. Tell yourself that you will lose 1kg in one week. Just 1kg. Just one week. People (family especially) may not be on your side - deal with it. It's your body not theirs. Tell your friends that you are not going out this weekend. (If you…

Awesome job Andy

You can do it. "If it is to be, it is up to me."
-
Awesome. Dipped below the magic 25 a couple of months ago but haven't hit 24 yet. Pushing now.

Starting at 135, aim for 130 before the end of the month. Then aim for 122 before the end of October. Then ain for 115 before the end of November. Then aim for 109, and so on. Give yourself SMART objectives. Within a month, say "I'm going to lose 1.5kg in the next 7 days" The hardest part of losing weight is staying…

Freaking awesome. Great success so far. Like you I found giving up some foods easier than others. Greasy food was not problem but sweets....yikes...I work near a methadone clinic and I genuinely believe it when they say sugar is more addicitive than most hard drugs (though obviously not as socially destructive). Keep it…

Great consistent start. Keep it going!

One thing I have found is that I am less argumentative. I often felt the need to call someone up online if i saw that they posted something stupid or racist or just plain crazy. Now when I see something I disagree with I think "that guy/girl is dumb...but pointing it out won't make me happy."

In Cork (second largest city in Ireland), they have a great name for a guy like that. He's a LANGER! Onwards and upwards, don't let guys like this define you.
