  • How easy it is to gain weight back :( I gained about 11 lbs since my lowest recorded weight of 178 lbs :'( And now I'm kicking myself but can't find the motivation to get back into my routine that lead me to lose 40 lbs... :'( :(
  • Are you almost due for your time of the month? I can gain up to 10 lbs one or two weeks before I'm due for it.
  • That moment when a stranger at the bar tells you "You are so beautiful and sexy" ..... :o NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS A HUMAN BEING EVER CALLED ME BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY! I almost had tears in my eyes!
  • Definitely more attention from men. People will treat you differently. I find that strangers are a lot nicer especially strangers of the opposite sex. And the weird thing is that I pay more attention TO men now. Before the weight loss I'd just hide behind my friends because i didnt have much confidence in my appearance and…
  • About 40 lbs lost but I still dread going to the gym... Still waiting for when I start to 'love' exercising!
  • How uncomfortable it starts to get when the only thing people say to you is regarding your weight loss. I loved the compliments at first but now it's the only thing we talk about. And I'm starting to run out of replies! Suggestions?
  • May I ask how much the gift cards are worth? I got him a $20 chipotle gift card because we talk about chipotle all the time. But I'm not sure if it's too little of an amount?
  • I usually gain about 5 lbs. But my last period I gained 10 lbs! :o The weight gradually came off but you bet I was stressing because I gained so much weight!
  • I've only mentioned my weight loss on fb maybe 3 or 4 times in the last 10 months or so. It's either me tagging my gym as my location I'm at along with a short sentance or when I make a short post about a new milestone I've reached. I haven't publicly shared the total amount of weight I've lost or posted any new photos of…
  • I can cross my legs under a table now! :o
  • Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. I feel a whole lot better venting it out. My immediate family has been very supportive and happy for me - even though they too said hurtful comments before I lost the weight. She's a distant relative that doesn't come around often so I really don't think I'll see her for…
  • I have a membership. $20 a month (initial enrollment was $50 and a yearly maintenance fee of $40ish) I get access to all the group fitness classes, pool and sauna. Great investment for me personally because I could never bring myself to work out on my own at home!
  • I started at 215 lbs at 5'5 and ate around 1500 calories a day. 10 months later and nearly 40 lbs down and I'm still eating around 1500 a day, sometimes less and sometimes more. I lost about a 1 lb a week but now I'm slowly starting to peak off so I may have to adjust my intake.
  • My personal trainer introduced me to boxing, which I really do enjoy and can see myself doing everyday but our sessions are coming to an end and I looked more into taking boxing classes but they are crazy expensive! Not sure if I should invest in those classes or just stick it out at the same old routine at the gym.
  • That I will still hate working out! I really thought I would start to be like some of you on here who starts to actually enjoy working out. I still dread it but still drag myself to the gym 3-4 times a week.
  • I used the McDavid belt (can be found on amazon) mostly to keep my pants from falling when running or jumping. The belt also holds me in so I'm not jiggling everywhere lol. My posture has been better also. So no, it doesn't help you lose weight but it can be beneficial for other things.
  • Joining MFP, hiring a personal trainer and getting a fitbit for myself have been some of the best investments I've ever made. I'm nearing 40 lbs lost and I couldn't be more proud of myself! You got this girl!
  • Welcome to MFP! Something that worked for me is working with a personal trainer. One of the best investments I've ever made! Keep pushing even when you want to stop! I'm nearing 40 lbs lost and I couldn't be more proud of my accomplishments! Your body is the most important thing you'll ever own. Take good care of it and…
  • I gain up to 10 lbs!!! Crazy I know! But that comes off fairly quickly for me so I wouldn't worry much if I were you :)
  • Chobani has that fermented-ness taste/smell to it that really bothers me. Greek Gods - Honey Strawberry is the only greek yogurt I like! I add about 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed to give it more texture and it's delicious! Only downside to this is that it has quite a bit of fat in it... :'(
  • Men with big hands!
  • I use the McDavid belt wrap (Can be found on Amazon). Of course it doesn't help with bouncing skin back to normal like people claim but it does help you sweat. Like a lot. So if you're looking to lose massive amounts of water weight then it can be of use. I just wear it over my high waisted sweat pants just so it doesn't…
  • Fitbit Charge HR all the way! I absolutely love mine! Pricing is about $150. Pretty pricey but definitely worth the investment. Very motivating to get moving or else you won't reach your goals for the day. Highly suggest getting it!
  • TMI WARNING! I've always had irregular periods but since I started working out and losing weight my cycle has gone from barely three a year to every month! I guess I don't need to be on meds after all!
  • Twin Cities :)
  • I ate TWO spoonfuls of Nutella last night... Not proud of it at all!
  • I work over nights also. I try to push my meals back later to allow me to eat my dinner and snack during my shift to keep me from mindlessly grazing on high calorie snacks. I usually work 10pm - 6am five nights a week. Get home by 6:30am at the latest and can't fall asleep until 8am and then be up by 2pm. Have "breakfast"…
  • Try wearing sweat belts! I prefer the McDavid brand. It definitely helps hold me in and keeps me from jiggling everywhere when running. I like to wear them over my pants so it helps to hold them up so I won't have to keep on pulling my pants up! And it'll help you lose water weight!
  • I have a great personal trainer that I see 2-3 times a week. It's about $50 for a 45 - minute session, which is really pricey but I think it's a great investment especially if you have no idea what you're doing or just need an extra set of motivation. The money is biggie, I agree! But the way I see it is that I'm investing…
