Exactly this. I have a juicer, and I do sometimes juice in the mornings. It does energize me and my skin has looked better since doing it, plus I just like the taste. But I do not use it as a meal replacement, I have it along with my breakfast. I also only drink one cup as I prefer to get the majority of my calories from…

You never want to eat all the calorie burns anyway because they are never 100% accurate and you may end up overeating your calorie goal. I usually aim for 50% myself. And if you're struggling to reach your calorie goal, eat calorie dense foods like nuts and nut butters, avocados, meats and fish, and cook with oils like…

Nothing wrong with a bit of sugar free jelly as long as it fits in her calories for the day. Who cares if it's not packed to the brim with vitamins and minerals, sometimes you just need some jelly. What has really helped with my PCOS is heavy lifting three times a week, moderate cardio three times a week for 30 minutes a…

I was going to make chicken cacciatore tonight but now I want twice baked potatoes and steak. I guess I'll have to hit Sprouts again.

Popcorn is okay as long as you monitor it and make sure it doesn't burn. Once it burns, it can be smellier than fish.
-
That's a good idea to talk to your coworkers. Maybe you'll get to talking about fish recipes and everyone will start bringing fish. Win!

If you have to microwave fish, after your food is done microwave a cup of water with a tablespoon or two of lemon juice until the water boils. Let sit for a minute or two then wipe the microwave down with a paper towel. It gets rid of the fishy smell. I realize all these steps are a pain, but it's better than having your…

One of the many reasons I decided to not go full paleo. Peanuts and black beans are among my favorite foods.

Just wanted to add, when you lose weight and buy clothes that fit and aren't too loose, you and others will notice and it will encourage you on your journey. So yes, buy some new clothes now.
-
Goodwill, and other thrift stores, are your friends. Especially if you plan on losing more, I would hate to spend major $$ on a new wardrobe to have it all be too big in another couple of months or so.

Or create a closed group. By the way, this is a topic within a topic that YOU started. You started calling other members rude. I am simply addressing that. It's obvious, however, that you don't feel as if you owe an apology to the MFPers you offended. So I think I'm done now. Good luck and have a nice day.
-
It looks like anyone who has a different opinion, or anyone who points out that no one was rude, is in fact rude in the eyes of the OP. Again, no one was rude. The OP is projecting.
-
No, you got defensive because no one was telling you what you wanted to hear. No one was being rude. You came on here, asked why you weren't losing. People came on, asked if you were weighing your food. You danced around the question, then finally admitted you weren't weighing. Other MFPers said if you wanted to log…

My reply was more to address her defensive nature and seemingly unwillingness to change, as the OP views weighing food as "weird" and kept arguing that she lost so much weight before and she didn't have to weigh her food. When you ask a question on the forum, and people give you an answer of "x", you don't argue back that…

Just because it worked for you before does not mean it will work for you NOW. People are helping you; they're telling you to weigh your food for more accuracy. I'm sorry if it's not what you want to hear, but it really is the best advice.
-
If it's working for you, stick with it. So many people start a plan they can't realistically follow and then give up. Give it about 4 - 6 weeks, and if you don't notice a difference, you can reevaluate your plan then.

https://dashingdish.com/recipes/shakes/ A calorie is a calorie. Doesn't matter whether you chew it or drink it.
-
This. One "bad" meal does not ruin an entire week, or even the rest of the day.
-
Two weeks isn't very long at all. It will probably take more like 2 to 3 months to lose that 15 if you lose a pound per week, which is healthy. You didn't gain the weight overnight, don't expect to lose it overnight. And the average female can fluctuate in bodyweight by about 5 pounds per day, I know I do. Go by…

I tend to crave sweets in the evening. While I sometimes do indulge and have a small piece of chocolate (because I usually have the calories left over at the end of the day), there are times I either can't or won't so I drink Teavana Coco Caramel Sea Salt tea. Kicks my chocolate craving everytime.

Most gyms offer one free session with a personal trainer.

That was sarcasm.

Don't have any advice, but kudos to her for getting out there.

Hair loss is actually a common problem with women who have PCOS. I've never experienced it, but I know others who have.

This sounds like a whole lot of bad broscience.

Awesome protein shake recipes: https://dashingdish.com/recipes/shakes/ Personally, I wouldn't use shakes to replace a meal, I think it would be more beneficial to only use them on intense training days in addition to the food you normally eat.
-
Stop dining out. There are way more calories in those dishes than you think, and the portion sizes they serve in restaurants are often 3 - 4 times the normal serving size. I limit my dining out to twice a month. Plus you save way more money cooking your own food than going out to dinner. And I agree with others, buy a food…

They come off as sarcastic, but there is a lot of good information posted above. Are you counting calories, every bite you put in your mouth? Weighing everything? You say you're not eating a lot, but it is possible that some extra calories are sneaking in here and there. Also, what do you mean by "focus a lot on my abs at…
