Hello, my goal is to get a minimum of 15,000 steps a day with a goal of 20,000 steps 6 days a week. Starting today 3 April.

I am a 70 year old male. I weighed 265-270lbs when I retired at age 67. I knew if I wanted to enjoy retirement I would have to loose weight and I did. I counted calories sticking close to 1500 calories a day eating the normal foods I always ate. Only difference was not eating nearly as much (portion control) and also walked 10 miles plus a day 7 days a week. Went from 265lbs to 150lbs in a little over a year.

While walking around the neighborhood one day and after losing over 100lbs or so over the course of about a year, some lady that frequently saw me walking called me a "Flat Stanley".

I am 69, 6ft tall and lost 115 lbs over the past year reaching my goal last month of 150 lbs going down from 265 lbs. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. It is hard and takes determination. Exercise was the key for me. Good luck, you can do it.

My HR is usually between 45-50 when sitting or resting. I am 69 and walk about 12-15 miles a day for exercise.
