    Successes/struggles this week:

    Week 1: Good start to month but afraid it won't last. Currently on travel visiting friends and doing all those things you do when out having fun. Nonetheless, cutting back on a few things hoping that will keep the weight in check. Good practice for those future maintenance days I guess.

    Week 2: Darn good this week considering more travel to see friends then on the return family get togethers as well. Had to make up for the extra food and wine/beer intake with additional walking plus a cut back in calorie intake on days between events. Hope to break the 180 lbs barrier before the end November. We'll see with Thanksgiving in the mix.

    Week 3: Still moving down with a 3.5lbs loss. Glad to see that and also break that 180lbs barrier. Increased my exercise a little bit to compensate for last weeks extravagance and that probably helped.
    All bets off on Thanksgiving but will make up for it down the road.

    Successes/struggles this week: I've been hovering between 185.4 and 186.4 all week. While I was hoping to see 185 again today, I'm okay with this. I wasn't as active this week, and I know I didn't drink enough water. With 3 Thanksgiving dinners coming up this weekend, I know I have to watch my eating and drink plenty of water.

    Successes/struggles this week: I did okay this week. It looks like a decent weight loss, but I was up 2 pounds from the previous week so really only 2 pound loss. I only worked out a few times, but I logged everything I ate and stayed under goal most days. I had an offsite on Thursday that kind of screwed me up that day. My goal for this week is to work out at least 4 days, log everything, drink tons of water, and not go overboard on Thanksgiving.

    Weightloss is slowing down a bit. It's getting more difficult to stay under calorie goal.

    I haven't been walking due to everyone in the house being ill and I'm the acting nurse.

    I also feel very tired and with no energy. I don't know if it's due to the weather, illnesses around me or weightloss...

    It was tricky this week. I am doing the Christmas weight loss challenge where you try and lose 10 to 15lb by Christmas. I am finding this a huge motivator and I've lost 8.8lb already. It is getting harder as the events are stacking up. Any weight loss is good this time of year and if you put on a few pounds it's not the end of the world.

    I'm brand new to MFP and supervised weight loss. Referred to the Wharton Medical Clinic, (several locations in the Hamilton, ON & surroinding area). They specialized in supervised weight loss and healthy eating for diabetics. I have a serious back injury which prevents many exercises, but I've been trying a Bosu ball to improve my balance & hope to work up to other exercises with the Bosu.

    I'm *so* glad their first tip was to use MyFitnessPal, as I had not been eating enough/ frequently, and my metabolism was low. I also found out I had a B12 deficiency, which was complicating sleep issues & eating late at night, which wasn't helping my weight loss goals.

    Recently acquired an elliptical machine and hope to start with small amounts of exercise by December 1st. My goal is to do 10 minutes a day, then increase the amount by 5mins every 7-10 days. I'm being cautious about doing too much to start with bc of my injury - aggravating it would put me out of commission for days, and I want to prevent any backwards momentum.

    Created a recipe for homemade protein bars which are simple to make: each 28g bar has 100cal, 1g fat, 7g sugar, & 4g protein. They are sweet, can be made in diff flavours, and cost about $0.40 per bar. If anyone is interested in the recipe, please feel free to send me a message and I'll share the recipe. It's been a godsend, since I've never been a big breakfast eater & I have a sweet tooth.
