  • Thanks so much for sharing! !
  • You look amazing!! Fantastic job. And your arms are incredible!!! Did you follow any specific plan? Mind sharing? Your results are truly inspiring
  • This is fantastic! Seriously, Great work :) fingers crossed I get in!
  • I'm game!!! Thank you! ! I live in the Wash, DC area. I've generally been in the 210s-220s since 2008. My high weight was 244 in summer 2015, got it down to about 210 by Nov 2015. But have essentially lost and regained the same 10 pounds since. So I've lived in the 210's, +/- 2lbs, since Nov 2015... I'm ready to plow…
  • Thank you for sharing what you've been doing. You have had amazing progress, earning it all the way!! Rock on and keep on the good fight!
  • This is incredible and absolutely what I need to do...can u share what you did?
  • Amazing work!! Great progress - you are definitely an inspiration! Thank you for sharing :) I had a personal trainer for a bit last year and in our preliminary meeting, she asked what I would eat if I was eating "really good", and I said a day very similar to yours, especially the overnight oats with fruit for breakfast.…
  • Yes!!! Tiny upper arms! Even at my biggest (244, 5'6), my torso/chest would swim in the Old Navy XXL tops but the arms were so tight I feared ripping a seam in the fitting room! GAP (same ownership) doesn't have the same issue though - their XL tops fit when ON XXL tops wouldnt! So annoying. Figured it was the price to pay…
  • So insightful and inspiring! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your progress and you frame of mind!
  • Screen name: FutureThoughts (5'6" F) Goal for August 31st: <209 July 22nd (starting weight): 221.4 July 29th: 215.4 August 4th: 218.2 (2 bad days, not enough walking, and ttom combined. I'll get it back!!) August 12th: 217.6 August 19th: 216.6 August 26th: 215.4 August 31st: I really stressed myself out this month. I…
  • If the pain stops when you stop walking and/or put your legs up, you should see a doctor. Calf pain while walking that dissipates when you stop can be a sign of blood clots or peripheral artery disease. Plus, based on your last comment, it really seems like something worth getting checked. Better safe than sorry! (Fyi,…
  • Glad you posted and kept yourself accountable!! Even when it's not the best week (which it wasn't me for eother), I think it's important to post as scheduled. We don't like seeing the up, but it's realistic and what truly happens. They say true weight loss isn't linear!! It can help other people, too, when they see we had…
  • Good eating and workout routine so much harder to do back on 630a shift start! I want to go back to 11am start! Lol. And I thought this was a Thurs weigh-in, oops! 1 day early. Sets up for a bigger drop next week :) Screen name: FutureThoughts (5'6" F) Goal for August 31st: <209 (really it's <205, 209 was the safe,…
  • First, major kudos on the changes from the start!! what a huge difference in the first few months! For the current post, about June-July changes - yes, I do see a difference!! It's not as drastic but definitely tightening up everwhere. Your upper arm, your face (even though it's mostly hidden, i can still tell it's…
  • I did really well since joining this and another group (No Fast Food and no Soda Challenge)! It helps that my work shift since Tuesday has been 11a-730p, so I've been able to walk and do light workout on an empty stomach plus prep all my food for the day in the morning. I have a lot of social plans tomorrow so I expect a…
  • OP - Congrats!! You've done great work :) Those asking about lifting - definitely check out the HALLLP LIFTING MADE ME SUPAH BULKY thread (it's something like that, lol). Might be a page or two back now, but it's full of great info and super motivational pics!! Some women in it, imo, did get a little bulky, but I think…
  • I'm in too! Getting my focus back and this will help push it into clarity even more :) Thank you! I have a major overseas trip the first 2 weeks of Sept, which includes a wedding, so that's a big motivator right now -- the smaller I get, the better I'll fit in the plane seat (and look in pics)! Screen name: FutureThoughts…
  • There is a MAJOR difference between these two pics!! Your neck, chin, cheeks, nose, even your eyes! The entire width of your face is smaller. Amazing work you must have accomplished to attain results like this. Keep going. Even if you aren't able to see it yet, there are definitely big changes happening physically! Maybe…
  • I've said for years that I'd get a tattoo at the 100lbs lost mark!! My thoughts were something about a C-Note - something about 100 without being obvious. A play on the romant numeral and a music note, maybe. But im not actually musical so I feel like it's kind of posing and so I continue to think on it. (I also have a…
  • For the first time in I don't know how long (9+years??) I am comfortable wearing shorts. ACTUAL shorts, not Bermuda shorts or capris, but shorts, like 4" inseam. A true NSV since the scale has been stagnant for months, but all those squats and lunges thru the winter sure changed my legs :)
  • Hi, I'm not doing IP but started looking into it. Having said that, I did recently do a 21-day cleanse-type thing that sounds very similar to IP. I held strong to the way of eating beyond the 21 day plan because of the results, the way i felt, and generally liked what i was eating, but then about 2 weeks ago went way off…
  • Congrats missm!! That's great work. I fell off the wagon for a little under two weeks, but have gotten myself back in the groove. This challenge was definitely helpful in keeping be accountable! Thanks! !
  • I found having quality protein immediately after working out really decreases on the soreness. Also, for me, if I'm sore some very light, just movement really can help decrease it for the next day. But no, you really should not lift anything, give your muscles time to recoup and recover. Feed them protein.
  • Thank you for all the posts! Each one is amazing and so inspiring and motivating. I'm 5'6 and those numbers are almost exactly mine (hi=244 in June, 220-230's last few years), so thank you all for sharing and helping me keep faith that i WILL do this!
  • Just saw my goal about the push-up by Halloween! I completely forgot I even made that goal. I didn't get there yet, but I'm really close. Just posted a status here the other day about being close!!! Hopefully by the end of this challenge, so before Christmas, I'll be able to do 1 full, real push-up. That will be such a…
  • I'm still here! Just not doing the squat challenge so I'm laying low. But making it to the gym regularly! And finally started some walks worked back into my day too :)
  • So what is the challenge? How many squats per day? Or does it vary? I don't have enough memory on my phone to download more apps, lol. I gotta get an external memory source or something
  • You got it this month Lana!! Remember NOvember...it can be a NOnuts for NOvember! :) MissM2, good job! I saw others on MFP doing the 30ds too since Nov has 30d! Good thinking. And amazing step count!
  • I'm here! Just traveling a lot this week and next. Then it calms down for me starting Nov. I've happy with myself for gettingwhat I'll call mini workouts in! Can do squats, lunges, push up anywhere...and I actually am! :)
  • This sounds a lot like what I do too! I cave often, but am going to take strength from your post :) I agree that it is no small nsv, it's huge!! Congratulations! Keep saying no, it's all about each decision, each choice we make. Good job!
