  • The only prep meal I do is breakfast since I'm not one to fix that meal daily. I make about 24 mini frittatas then warm 2 in the microwave for breakfast. That plus a fat free Greek yogurt is my daily breakfast. Chop whatever veggies you like (I don't do cheese or meat). I use zucchini, mushrooms, onions, broccoli, peppers.…
  • I make egg frittatas in my muffin pan. Use veggies and turkey or ham (sauté veggies like zucchini, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, peppers, whatever you like) whisk egg whites with seasoning (salt pepper herbs sriacha) fill muffin cups with veggie mixture, add seasoned egg mixture, about 1/4 cup per muffin... (can top with…
  • Are you copying and pasting the URL web address into MFP? Occasionally I've had issues after doing this and the recipe wouldn't import, only a bunch of gibberish. But I've imported lots of recipes without problems. Is this the first time you're doing this or just this link?
  • Lost 80 pounds starting january 2015. Heading to Hawaii for our anniversary next month.
  • I too have struggled with weight all my life. I lost 134 pounds 20 years ago and had 70 slowly come back in the last 12 years. I have lost 78 pounds since January 2015. MFP has helped me to be accountable for everything I eat so makes you pause before any mindless eating. I found low carbs and high protein have helped but…
  • I make mini frittatas that you can warm up as needed. You can add whatever veggies and meat you want. Mine have 1.1 carb per frittata. Add spices, herbs, my go to breakfast.
  • I've been posting monthly on Facebook about my weight loss. First of month just total weight lost. Last month was first time I posted full body picture. It's a motivation factor for me and I get a lot if 'likes' and some comments but all positive and that feels so good to have that support. I'm within 10 pounds of my goad…
  • Hi. I'm 61 and lost 134 lbs 21 years ago. Back injury and just getting lazy about watching portions added 60 back on. Since January 1st I've lost 69 pounds. It can be done but takes great motivation. I only started MFP recently and love the tracking of calories carbs and fat grams. I weigh in daily and generally eat…
  • I'm 61 and lost 68 pounds this year. Age is not a factor in losing weight. Yes I'm retired and have more time to exercise now but I also list 134 pounds in my 40's. It's getting into a mindset that you CAN do this. As someone said you are responsible for what your eat. Make healthy choices and you can do it too!
  • I weigh daily. First thing in morning before breakfast. I know my fluctuations but don't get discouraged by them. I record my weight every day on a calendar. It helps me to see where I am. But as everyone says, do what works for you. I just know I have to watch every day of my life.
  • Pumpkin creme brûlée. Very yummy!
  • Frittatas made in muffin cups. Easy to heat in microwave. Lots of veggies and use egg whites. Good protein and veggies, yum!
  • I love using the 'cloud bread' with turkey lettuce and tomato. Favorite lunch with some fruit.
  • Join Pinterest! Lots of gluten free. My niece has celiac and finds great recipes on Pinterest
  • Good luck on your journey! This has been a wonderful tool. I've lost 65 since first of the year and down to my last 15. I'm 61 years old. If I can do this, so can you! Make small changes you can live with because this is a life change, not a 'diet'.
  • Good luck and welcome! I lost 35 pounds before joining MFP. Now lost 30 more and this has been a great tool for keeping me on track. 5 more to my goal. You can do it!
  • I made flourless chocolate cookies that even my husband loved. 69 calories per cookie and they taste sinful. No weird ingredients. Also check Pinterest for energy balls. Lots of ideas that you can tweak the recipe. I attached the recipe for cookies.
  • Instead of marinating I've been brining my chicken and pork. Add meat to sealable bag and cover with cool water. Add salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Maybe a couple teaspoons of all. I don't measure. Let brine at least 3 hours. 6-8 even better. It is the most juicy and tender meat. Use in whatever recipe you want but…
  • I've been making mini frittatas. They keep in fridge for a week. Can warm in microwave or eat at room temp. I don't use meat but can add turkey, ham, sausage. Use more egg whites to inc protein. Lots of veggies. Spinach mushrooms onion. Whatever you like. My go to as I don't cook breakfast during week.
  • If you haven't tried a zucchini crust I suggest you try it. I love them and not feel guilty about the carbs as that's a no no for me. Lots of veggies! Just be sure to bake crust well before adding toppings. I could even pick it up like regular pizza.
