Any one have good breakfast ideas and good way to get your portein in the morning.

    My newest breakfast obsession (which is heavy on the protein) is homemade refried beans on top of scrambled eggs. YUM!

    Frittatas made in muffin cups. Easy to heat in microwave. Lots of veggies and use egg whites. Good protein and veggies, yum!

    Egg whites 2servings, 50 cal. 1 regular egg 70 cal. 1piece of Canadian bacon 20 cal. All micro waved together. 1 or 2 pieces of Sara Lee 45 cal. bread toasted. Salsa on top 10 to 20 cal. 185-230 cal total, good protein.

    Low Fat Cottage Cheese 1/2 Cup 14g of protein. I like it w/ pineapple.

    Greek yogurt with anything. I add berries in there too even though they aren't protein.

    A nice omelette, add some ham for extra protein. Put some PB on toast if I am real hungry. Cottage cheese and yogurt with added protein powder. Those are my go-to breakfasts.

    Definitely frittatas made in muffin pan (broccoli, spinach, peppers, red onion, chillies, ham/bacon top with egg whites) and bake for 20 mins. There you go, breakfast for the whole week.

    I am up at five or even earlier. But I'm an incorrigible morning person. The trick is to prepare the night before. That opens up all the suggestions above. Now that it is winter, once a week I make up a big batch of steel-cut oats the night before, and keep it in mason jars. I eat it in the morning with blueberries and Greek yogurt. I microwave the cooked oats to warm them.

    Oats and protein powder, topped with fruit. Takes 3 minutes to make max, and it keeps me going all day :)

    Protein smoothie!
    Almond milk/coconut milk/regular milk, scoop of protein powder, half a frozen banana or frozen berries, flaxseed or chia seeds or LSA and kefir or yogurt (for the probiotic aspect)... PLUS you could add peanut butter, or cinnamon or cacao powder!

    My breakfast this morning. It has 600 kcal, 53g protein and 12g fibre.

    The protein comes mostly from 500 grams of quark, which offers 45 grams of protein for just 250 kcal. My other ingredients are an apple, bran flakes, and unsalted peanuts.

    ...and a similar breakfast from earlier this week, in which I substituted the quark for skim yoghurt, and the apple for a banana. Totals here add up to 660 kcal, 54g protein, 8g fibre.

    The yoghurt, like the quark, contains 45 grams of protein, but you'd need to eat twice as much to get that high a number and that costs slightly more calories.

    i always fry my two eggs the night before and just have to make the toast in the morning

    protein shake, smoothie, hard boil some eggs night before, instant cream of wheat.

    I love all the ideas I was just thinking of way to change up my breakfast because I am tired of eating the same boring shredded wheat 1 serving with 1/2 cup of skim milk! I seen some protein powder on a clearance shelf in a local drug store was thinking about getting it next time I go there if someone else has not bought it yet.

    Frittata, it's all about the cooking. For both quiche and frittata, use any vegetables on hand.

    I am sorry maybe i missed it but how do you make the quiche/frittata, or where can i get it... I am interested.

    I have a basic recipe and just switch up my ingredients.

    Cook 4 slices of chopped center cut bacon until crispy, remove and keep the bacon fat. Add your veggies and cook until soft. A lot of veggies - I add around 8-10oz of veggies depending on what mixture I want. Remove from heat. Beat 4 eggs, 4 egg whites (3/4 cup liquid egg whites), 1/4 cup skim milk and salt and pepper. Add all of your veggies, egg mixture, and bacon to a parchment lined cake pan, add raw tomatoes and/or scallion and bake at 400 for about 20 mins (sometimes a little over) until set. I love the bacon in it, but have made it with soyrizo, apple chicken sausage, turkey sausage, etc. My absolute favorites are:
    bacon, mushroom, kale, scallion, tomato
    bacon, cabbage, scallion
    bacon, spinach, tomato

    They come out to between 140-150 for 1/4 of the pan. I cut it into quarters, then keep it in the fridge still in the pan. In the morning, I take out 1/4, slice that in half and microwave it for 2 minutes.

    Must try frittata, some great ideas on here. I love egg whites whipped with sliced or chopped red, yellow and orange peppers on top. Use tsp olive oil in a frying pan, add the whipped egg whites and top with peppers. Once the underneath is cooked put under the grill to brown slightly.
