I use Keto sticks and measure urine once/twice per week. I am honest though and enter all that I eat into MFP so I can save the sticks :)

@sallyann8 I enjoy intermittent fasting a lot! I pretty much have dinner at 6:30 and then don't eat breakfast but drink coffee + coconut oil and ghee, well because of fat :) Good luck! I am sure you will get to enjoy it too

@WenCruz415 i did not know that ketons will stop showing large presence in urine after a while. I have been using ketostix for 3 months and so far it works. How long do you have to be in keto for that?

@Joureialexis I do! I fast for 3 days once a month, with a day before and after of reduced 500 kcal intake. And I do intermittent fasting every day - skipping breakfast and just have a cup of coffee with a teaspoon of coconut oil and teaspoon of ghee (because need fats) :) Good luck to you!

@jonnyman41 - not seeing any change could be discouraging. Do you do any physical activity on top of the diet? Are you in ketosis?

From what you said, your protein is over your daily intake (it's calculated 0.6/0.8 gr of protein multiply by your weight), so maybe remove a few protein heavy foods (sausage, eggs) and add a teaspoon of ghee in your coffee, if you drink it. Same here! I just came back from a 3-day trip and it was hard! I ate no carbs but we had a special dinner reservation at the fancy restaurant and I had to call ahead to notify them about no grains, no pasta, no sugar. I felt uncomfortable because I made so much fuss about it, but now I am back home and just tested my urine…

@jacqui2494 have you tried using ruled.me macros calculator? If you input your biometrics and the activity levels - the results will tell you how much of fat and protein to eat. And carbs you know it - under 20 net grams per day
