  • I take a stool softener and it seems to help a lot. I used to take Restorolax but it made me feel bloated. Now, I take senekot.
  • You might want to stay at your current dose until you can see your Dr. Maybe go to the pharmacy and see if your blood pressure is ok.
  • Hi there! I was really off MFP this summer. I haven't done too much. I watched my calories for a very long time. I am up a few pounds right now, so I am going to get back on track. I have a lot more control over my weight loss and gain now. I used to drink a ton of water too.
  • Definitely, do not be afraid. You need to be careful with it, like all medication. I started my journey at 268 and I got down to 141. The summer has left me around 150. (I always gain in the summer) On Saxenda I was 225 thereabouts and got to 141. I am slowly going back on the medication. I had taken myself off and I don't…
  • I wouldn't quit on the medication just yet! I was on it for a year and lost about 90lbs.
  • It didn't last for me. I was on it for a year.
  • I didn't follow a strict plan. I wanted to be sure that I was able to maintain the lifestyle after I stopped the medication. For me, it was all about portion control and water. I started out eating half or less than what I wanted to eat. It wasn't always easy. But, yesterday I bought a size 4 skirt and I'm wearing 26…
  • I wouldn't say that's a bad thing at all! My friend has been on it for months and she never had symptoms. I've been on it for a year and mine stopped after the first month. My friend is down from 232 to 188. I'm down from 226 to 141.
  • I'm now one year on Saxenda. I always found that I needed to listen to my body. Water was always extremely important. Half your weight in ounces! I weigh about 141 and I started at 226. Don't give up!
  • It's been one year for me. I'm down to 141lbs from 226. I'm 5'5 and 33 years old. I'm down 127lbs from my highest. Saxenda saved me from myself. I'm so relieved.
  • I'm at my goal and I am still not off of it.. Though I am up a couple of pounds. That's mostly because of pms and the unbelievable hunger this time.
  • Hi there. I check in quite often. I have been on Saxenda for 321 days. I have lost 83lbs since I started. I have lost 125lbs from my heaviest. This medication has saved me from myself. I can't tell you how much the positives outweigh any negatives. You need to be consistent. Let the medication tell you when you are full…
  • Down to 145!! That was my goal. I'll likely lose a few more pounds before I go into maintenance.
  • Haha Thank you. You're welcome! I have to get out of the habit of hiding from the camera. I'll get a less Halloweenie picture taken soon.
  • I'm glad you are better!!
  • Yes it is. I wish I were able to receive notifications when there is a new post, but I'm not an administrator. -)
  • That could be unrelated, but, serious! You should get that checked!
  • I've been off and on a diuretic since I started. I take them for awhile then I stop. I've been on Saxenda since February and it has changed my life.
  • I've added you. :-)
  • Yes, I have! It hasn't been easy but, I am so happy to be where I am now.
  • I can't say enough about this medication.. I'm down 68lbs since February 4th. Good luck!
  • Hi Nicole, How are you now? I weigh myself every day. With Saxenda care the nurse told me that I should weigh myself as long as I find it motivational. With that, I weigh myself twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I am now down to 158lbs. I am feeling so much better in the 150s. I hope you are well!
  • Sorry no one has answered you until now!! I take it at night but I tend to notice that it suppresses my appetite better if I take it a bit earlier. As for sleep, I am at 3.0 and have been since March, I do not find that it interrupts my sleep. If it did, I don't remember. I hope you are doing well on the medication!
  • Well, I am in the 150s for the first time in over a decade!! I am starting to feel happy about it. My brain is taking a long time to realize that I am no longer obese. But, here I am, just barely overweight according to BMI. This medication has changed my life.
  • Oh frig!! How awful!! I've been on this since February and haven't had more than a tiny bruise. Are you using alcohol swabs before injecting? Best of luck to both of you. That's terrible.
  • Month 5, down 60lbs to 165 now!! Really, I don't have side effects anymore.
  • Down 58lbs since joining MFP in February. I'm down 100lbs in total. I still have about 20-25lbs to go. I'm finding this part the most difficult. Though, I'm sure maintenance will be difficult too.. Feel free to add me!!
  • 169.8 today!!
  • I've been on it since February. I'm down from 225.7 to 169.8. I find that you really have to let the medication dictate your hunger. I haven't felt nausea in months. My weight loss has slowed, but, it's still happening!
  • More so, that I've slowed dramatically. I find that I have to eat very few calories for several days then, when I eat more than usual I break the plateau.
