  • I made a big batch of Turkey Chili on the weekend. Ive eaten that a few times already :) 1 cup = 277 calories. Its super filling and equal on carbs and protein. Usually I make a little extra the night before for dinner and bring it for lunch

  • I cooked a big batch of Turkey Chili on the weekend and I have enough for a few meals this week !! 1 Cup serving is 277 calories :)
  • I just changed my activity level from Sedentary to lightly active. It has helped keep me on track and now I am not eating back too many calories because the MFP program adjusts accordingly. Sedentary accounts for approximately 5000 steps per day and light housework. Im lightly active. 10,000 - 15,000 steps per day plus 3…
  • You said it all in your first line ..... Moving and going out more... Is it possible that you were burning more in calories than you were eating ?
  • This is a great video !! Thanks everyone for your assistance. I dont eat back my exercise calories because 90% of them are just steps that I take everyday that fitbit syncs over... However I have changed my sedentary to lightly active. I will aim for ensuring I am measuring more accurately, eating about 200 calories more…
  • I guess my question would be... what would this do to my intake/output. Im trying to determine the right caloric input and output for my lifestyle. At what point does one make a change ? Or does everyone remain sedentary for the base number and eat back the calories

  • I eat cheese in moderation. Also, I go for full fat cheese as low fat or fat free has too much sugar and other preservatives. They dont taste nearly as good either. So if I am going to eat cheese, I go for it and i go all the way. I ensure I have the caloric budget for it and i log it :)
  • Im following this post because I as well find the fitbit calories especially just for getting in the 10,000 steps is high and Im afraid to eat them.
  • I do have that as well but it is not allowing me to choose my week. My week goes from Saturdays to Fridays. It will let me review a full 7 days in the past, but it wont let me know up to today, from Saturday the 20th, what I sit at. Thanks tho. Never mind... Found it... For calories... :)
  • Im sitting at 3,083 Im going to get up and go for a walk !!
  • Thank you so much for this information. Here are my stats. I would love for you to assist me in figuring this out. 5'1 38 Years old. Current weight is 205.4 Started at 215.2 Looking to lose 2 lbs per week. My goal weight is 140 first, than 125 if I can get there.. but Ive never been there. I work a desk job. Monday -…
  • I guess what I was saying was... I dont look at normal everyday walking as "extra burning of calories" and If I didn't sync, I would still eat 1350. But now because its saying i need to eat those extra 350 calories that fitbit says I earned, i feel like I am eating too much. Im not working out... Im just doing everyday…
  • Thank you. I wasn't aware that fitbit only begins to give me credit for calories when i exceed the calorie burn estimate. I will start eating them back !!
  • I tend to plan my whole day 90% of the time first thing in the morning. If I wanted to have 1 or 2 egg roles tonight, Id add them into the dinner slot, it would than show me how much i have left for lunch. So I count it before I eat it.. Keeps me on track !!!
  • Excellent. I love hot. I usually will get wings , non breaded with hot sauce. Thats what I will have and count them as 75 calories a piece just to be safe - If they are breaded, I will count them as 125 calories each. Thanks so much for your help.
  • I joined and MFP says 1200 calories... This seams really low. Ive logged into Scooby (with no exercise) and it says... Step 1: Enter Your Gender Female Step 2: Enter Your Weight Pounds: 213.0 Step 3: Enter Your Height Centimeters: 155.0 Step 4: Enter Your Age 38 Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 1684 Daily calories to maintain…
  • Even if my treadmill workout is much more than step related ? Like high intensity uphill walking ? I know that is still steps but the heart rate increase alone would warrant more calories burned right ?
  • Thank you so much. Ive enabled negative adjustments. This is going to be a great journey. One last question..... My fitbit has now synced 84 calories.. im assuming from my everyday office job walking... so it has now told me that i have an extra 84 calories to eat (increasing total calories and increasing the macro…
