I say race a variety. Focusing on one brand gets boring. I primarily do Spartan simply because they have the most events. However, I would prefer to run a Tough Mudder or Savage Race or Bonefrog event over a Spartan any day.

When I sprained my ankle I did a lot of upper body strength training.

I take a multivitamin and a fish oil pill daily. I also take calcium because osteoporosis runs in my family. I also take iron every other day because I'm otherwise deficient.

At Chipotle, I can meet my goals without sacrificing flavor because everything is good there. I can't do that at Moe's because their food just isn't good to me unless I can afford to add a ton of sour cream and queso.

I have two CC bars most days. I don't notice any problems. I can't say anything about the Quest bars though, their formula change turned me off forever.

Me! I started Spartans this year and went on two do a 2X Trifecta. I also tried out a lot of other OCR'S this year. Next year I'm aiming for a 3X or 4X. Any salty/sweet snack that doesn't come pre-portioned. Luckily I've started bringing these to my BF's house to share, and leaving them there for him to finish. Also peanut butters/strawberry preserves/marshmallow fluff/cookie butters or other spreads that are easily eaten from a jar with a spoon. Chips with queso.

My strategy was to include an extra running day during the week (I usually only run on weekends), and gradually increase my mileage weekly. I only ever made it to 10 miles in training.
