As a person with Crohn's Disease, this was my story before I was diagnosed. See a GI doctor.

I also think it's a good starting point, and I enjoyed Steph Gaudreau's podcast episode with her. The main thing that irked me was her stance on somatotypes.

Oh boy, that's rough!! This is my third period since I got it back. My 2nd one last month had me lying on the couch the entire time; I was so wiped out. I had more energy this time, so maybe I need to wait a few more cycles to truly know if lifting is possible. I forgot how irritating the bloating and fatigue can be! When…

So, I found out last week that I absolutely can't lift weights during my period. No joke, even when I lowered weights it felt like I was trying to lift an SUV. My acupuncturist told me to stop lifting on my period, and my trainer said that it just happens with some women - I'm guessing overexertion. I'm okay with walking…

@jemhh thanks for the reminder. I'm just bummed because my workouts have been irregular for the last few months (traveling, sick, just life). then the week before this period came, i kept telling myself how flabby and ugly I felt. It didn't help that the first 3 days I was hungry all the time! I felt better today though…

Hi all, I've recently got my period back after a few years missing (low weight due to health issues). I'm happy about it, but I'm sooo tired that I just want to sleep. I think my body is still trying to figure out a regular cycle (this is my 2nd month), but it's driving me nuts because I want to work out. Any advice?

I'm a cashier, and while I don't usually hear arguments between couples/families, I do hear complaints. The most common one is when someone buys all to-go and prepackaged stuff, then whines about how eating healthy is expensive.

you can have volume to your meals AND add the fat. Oils like olive and avocado are pretty mild in taste. Don't worry about gaining at a steady pace, at this point you just need to see the scale go up to reduce the risk of potential internal issues. Please see a therapist.

Curious, have you asked these questions to your therapist? What did he/she say in response?

how did you make the crust?

I average around 35, but today I ate 52g.

@Noreenmarie1234 it is amazing! I forgot that I had a bunch of fresh basil left over, and accidentally spilled a plop of italian seasoning lol. Luckily, it just made everything more flavorful.

Omg, for the longest time my body couldn't tolerate vegetables. Then it was just cooked, low carb leafy greens. Now I can eat most vegetables (except for some nightshades), and I'm loving it!!! I love this recipe https://fedandfulfilled.com/egg-free-breakfast-casserole/. I just used ground turkey instead, and added other…

I could have written this post. I've been dealing with Crohn's since I was 16 (I'll be 32 in March), and always struggled with keeping weight on. It really does a number on you when people keep commenting on how you're all bones, how fragile and breakable I am.

This is true. Same with every sweetened coffee drink. It's so funny how taste buds change!
-
Same. Everyone in the audience clapped at the end, and my friends and I wondered if we were watching the same film.

Steph Gaudreau (former Stupid Easy Paleo) has great recipes on her site. I also like Nom Nom Paleo, Autoimmune Wellness, Phoenix Helix, Gutsy by Nature, Fed & Fit

Check with your doctor and if you haven't already, talk to a therapist.

Makes excellent stock in 2 hours without the nasty aroma in the kitchen. Roast with carrots and potatoes in 50 mins, spaghetti squash in 7, mashed potatoes in 10...it's amazing!

If the pita bread is cut in half, then it could be possible.

I am on vacation in San Diego, and walked the sea lion trail in La Jolla. Then walked back to eat at this seafood market I was dying to try. First time in a long time that I've walked 10k steps! This is why i looooove warm weather!!

Meat that wants to be shawerma.

Organ meat and seafood are incredibly cheap. Fattier cuts of meat, canned fish, whole fat dairy, starchy carbs/vegetables, nuts, seeds, nut butters, avocados, full fat coconut milk. You also might want to up your calorie intake. 1200 isnt sustainable for most people. I know it seems daunting with your budget, but a little…

A lot of people don't understand that there are major risks to being underweight. My heart goes out to you. From my personal experience, eating more of what I can tolerate (malabsorption issues), and lifting made a huge difference. Check out Stong Curves lifting program.

I'm sorry that you haven't gained weight. I truly hope you find relief soon. <3

Oooh I feel famous now! :p I have Crohn's Disease, and my last flare, I went down to 118 lbs. I started MFP, but kept losing weight as I had severe malabsorption. 92lbs (at 5'11) Inflammation rate was super high, anemic, lost half my hair, fast heart rate, and just in pain all the time. I had no energy, and I have to be on…

maybe it's something you're eating? Dairy is a huge culprit for me.

I have GI problems, and I can't eat most plant based protein food without feeling a lot of pain the next few days. Maybe start slow, a meal or 2 a week (not all in one day), and see where you are at. Try one plant based protein at a time, then record how you feel after. Also make sure you stay hydrated.
