  • I’m in for a summer challenge!
  • Hi all. I didn’t join this challenge and I never completed the last one. Everything has been a struggle lately. I gained back 25 of the 50 pounds I had lost. The last few weeks I’ve been trying hard to get back on track and I’m down 5 pounds. My little walking buddy tore the ACL in both hind legs last September and it’s…
  • I’m with all of you in cutting out the sugar. It does take 2-3 weeks to get past the cravings but then it gets better. Drink plenty of water and watch out for hidden sugars. Read food labels to check for added sugar. It’s amazing all the foods that have sugar added to them.
  • After losing 45 pounds, I bought new clothes. Now I’ve gained back 12 and I look like a stuffed sausage because everything is too tight. I want to be comfortable in my clothes and have them get too big for me again. I still have 45 to go to goal weight. Good health is my top priority but I want to feel good and I admit to…
  • I’m in!!! I’m so mad at myself for gaining back weight that I worked so hard to lose. My new clothes don’t fit and I gave all the old stuff away! I refuse to buy bigger sizes again so the weight has to come off.
  • This week was going well until last night when I went overboard with macadamia nuts. :( I haven’t been drinking as much water as I’d like either <pause for a big drink> but I’m working on it.
  • I’m with you on this one! I did terrible did summer and it was all my own doing. Now I’m back on the right track. Thanks for being here Kayjosh. We’re here for you too!
  • I have failed miserably since the start of this challenge. I’ve gained 10 pounds, I haven’t been logging, and I’ve been on a major sugar binge! Today is my first day getting back on track. I feel like my determination is back and I’m ready to move forward again. I’m up for a new challenge and ready to join all of you to…
  • I'm here too!

  • Thanks to you both for putting up the spreadsheet and the challenge!
  • I'm tired of knee pain. I know some of it will be alleviated if I can get down to a healthy weight. I also want to avoid the diabetes and hypertension that so many of my family members have.

  • MFP SW: 189.5 CSW: 152.5 CGW: 140 UGW: 115 I need to get my daily calorie count back to losing mode instead of maintenance mode. I've also got to get my sugar/chocolate cravings under control again.
  • You don't need to apologize. Thank you for doing these challenges. It makes me accountable and I really need that. This summer has been tough for me. I'm looking forward to another challenge. I need to get my mojo back.

  • Thank you! We appreciate all you do.
  • 150.1. Better than I expected.
  • I'm still here. The last couple months have been difficult. Not losing but not gaining either but it's been a struggle. The "I want sweet, salty, crunchy cravings" have come back with a vengeance. My daily morning walk has really helped keep the extra pounds off. But I had to give up my lunch walk cause it's just too hot.…
  • Three weeks straight at 150.4 but I weigh tomorrow and this week has been tough. Did not stick to my calorie limits at all especially today so I'm expecting a weight gain tomorrow. Didn't walk Wednesday or today either. I find the walking really helps when my food consumption is less than optimal so that's a double whammy.…
  • Subway is one of my favorites. I get either turkey or chicken and load up on veggies and go with brown mustard. I've also been getting a small chile and plain baked potato from Wendy's.
  • CSW - 152.3 CGW - 140 UGW - 115 Wk 1 - 151.3 Wk 2 - 150.8 Wk 3 - 151.4 Wk 4 - 149.8 Wk 5 - 149.8 Wk 6 - 150.4 Wk 7 - 149.1 Wk 8 - 149.6 Wk 9 - 150.4 Wk 10 - 150.4 Ugh! I've just been gaining and losing the same three pounds. I've hit a plateau that I just can't get past. It's like my body has found a new equilibrium and…
  • Hi everyone. What a great challenge. I wish I had found it sooner. Walking buddy: Tuffy, 13 year old Schnoodle. Weekly goal: 2 miles/40 minutes a day; 5-7 days a week. This week-13.5 miles Successes: reached our goal Challenges: getting up early enough to walk before work.
  • Sorry to hear that. I hope everything is OK. Glad to hear you are back on track. The holidays can really throw a wrench into things. It's difficult to make good choices when there are so many less than optimum things available. I did better this week than I expected. CSW - 152.3 CGW - 140 UGW - 115 Wk 1 - 151.3 Wk 2 -…
  • Total miles to date: 131.3. It's been super windy here so I haven't been getting out as much as I would like. The dog isn't happy about it either. Yesterday and today we went out early while it was still cool and before the winds picked up. I'm also giving up my lunchtime walk for the summer. It's just too hot to walk in…
  • Being able to share the ups and downs with others on this same journey.
  • This week has been tough. I've been hungry 24/7. I'm thinking it has to do with the fitness class I'm taking. I'm really working up an appetite in it. And there's been lots of snacks in the office which has made it harder. There were strawberries and grapes though so I went for those instead of the cookies, brownies,…
  • Thanks for the vote of confidence. Did our first workout today. I was right. It was intense. Lots of crunches, reverse crunches, and obliques followed by 30 minutes of step aerobics. I couldn't keep up with everything but I did my best. There were some 20 somethings that weren't doing any better than me and I'm 57. I just…
  • I started a "core fitness" class yesterday. The instructor informed us that in addition to working abs, we would be doing a total body workout! The class will be three times a week for the next 12 weeks. Sounds pretty intense but I'm looking forward to it. I think this is what I need to break past these plateaus I keep…
  • Total miles so far: 103.6
  • Love your befores and afters. You're all lovely! Congratulations!
