Exactly what I'm going to do.
-
Haha! thanks bud

I went straight from cardio and did 1 warm up set of 135. 5 reps

I weigh myself at home first thing in the morning, in a t shirt and shorts, after I go to the bathroom. At the gym I did have shoes on and I had eaten not too long before. That makes more sense. Just a bit shocking.

I love cooking. I'm just new to the healthy cooking thing
-
That's a meal right there
-
Looks good except I can't eat fish or deviled eggs. Maybe I replace the fish with grilled chicken and the eggs with scrambled egg whites?
-
Doesn't matter as long as it doesn't break my calorie budget
-
Time is a non factor. I love to cook. Just new to the healthy bit.
-
You are right, I just haven't been under 200lbs since the 7th grade. It's just hard to picture myself at that weight.
-
I'm not saying I was leaned out, but that was a very natural weight for me to maintain with regular exercise and eating relatively poorly. I could have definitely have shed some more fat. I just felt good at that weight is all

6'2" I used to play college football. I went from weightlifting 3 times a day to not having done a push up in 4 years. I'm not necessarily trying to get a six pack and be totally ripped. Even when I could see my abs a little bit I was about 225lbs.
-
Only thing is, if I weighed 175lbs I would be literally skin and bone. My ideal healthy weight is 235lbs. I'm not 279lbs of fluff. I got a lot of muscle that been covered up over thepast 5 years.
-
I was told that my body would burn protein for fuel instead of fat and I would lose lean muscle. That's what I meant about healthy weight loss. I don't want to lose lean muscle just the fat. I do my standard push ups and sit ups everyday .
-
So if I work out like I plan to do I should be good?
-
I weigh 279lbs currently
-
Well considering my estimated BMR is 2600 I should be losing 1 pound every 5 days.
-
Thanks for clearing that up. Reason I asked is because I was told my body would start using the extra protein for fuel instead of fat and I would lose lean muscle.

I'm definitely a meat eater. I set this calorie goal because I currently dont work out at all. When I start on my cardio I'll adjust. I used to work out 2x a day 5 days a week... 5 years ago. I'm hoping the high protein will help me whip these muscles back into shape. My breakfast is small and my lunch isn't much bigger.…

I'm not currently working out regularly, but hope to be soon.

Thank you all so much. Honestly, I just needed to hear it from somebody other than myself that I can do it. I have faith that I will make a change for the better and find the balance that my life needs. B)

I sweat super easy. I try to limit my movement when all dressed lol
-
I work a sales job I get a 30 minute break so I can't really get too sweaty. Morning exercise would be best. Ill have to get up around 6-6:30 cause my son wakes up at 7am on the dot without fail everyday.
-
I can afford it, but don't have the extra space at the moment. Working on fixing that now.
-
If motivation and support is what you need. I'm the person for the job. We can support each other. :) What goals do you have?
-
I guess I just feel guilty for being gone so much. 10 min shouldn't kill him. Thanks for that :)

I'm just starting again, so I am making it a main priority of mine. Really just needed to hear other people to tell me to stop making excuses. :D
