My mom never let us wear jellies, they were trashy she said. I wanted so bad to be trashy. We had Eastlands instead of Birkenstocks. With a sweater with a white collared shirt underneath. All the cool kids in elementary school had Starter jackets. They were so big that the kids could sit in them and their whole body would…

^^^^yes, yes,yes . when someone likes to talk talk talk and over share, I tune it out. I have a job to do and only so many hours to get it done. I once had a coworker who loved to share every thing about herself , and asked me to stop typing and look at her face while she was speaking. She would talk for an hour straight…

I saw in a different thread that you don't sell your work ( I think?) but if you did I'd be a buyer. These are so awesome! You're very talented!

It's a pogo ball! My sis had one.

I always wanted to be Brad, she was beautiful and smart. Danny was a dud. How about "Salute your shorts "? And playing Metroid on the Nintendo?
-
Wow!! You've put in a lot of effort! You sure it's the same person in these two pictures?
-
I'm going to get blasted for this I know. But the fact that you're even noticing this and thinking about it concerns me. If I knew a person whose thought process was like this, I would not engage them in any conversation.

This thread is nine years old. Her dog is probably chasing racoons in the sky by now.

I love cross country skiing, but I like to do it alone :) I can't keep up with anyone, and I don't want to feel like I have to. Don't want to hold anyone back either. There's nothing like breaking a sweat in zero degree weather. Have fun this winter!

So sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what you must be going through. I hope you can find the support you need.

I wasn't going to log online because I didn't want certain others to see my times, etc. but maybe that would only be the case if I participated in the ranking? Im slow. I'll have to check out the website a little more to see how it works. Loving the rowing though so far, makes me feel like bad *kitten* for thirty minutes…

I am not going to participate in the C2 challenge as don't really want log info on their website. But since seeing this thread I am feeling motivated to do it on my own. I have never rowed more that 26000 meters in a month (beginner here!) so I thought it would be a nice way to challenge myself to get moving. Started two…

Holy smokes! You look so amazing! Very inspiring.

Take me to bed or lose me forever- Top Gun

^^^This is exactly what I meant in my head, but you said it so much better!

Well , for example. if someone says lose 10 pounds, you're going going to have to get on the scale and see how much you weigh to lose the ten and potentially be "triggered". I'm all for getting on the scale and beating that trigger, first accomplishment. But if you truly want to avoid the scale, maybe just find exercise…

Yuck to the mango.

I really like the shape of one of my teeth and about one square inch on the tops of each of my feet.
-
Just one of many ideas , but are you all "liked " by the people you are wanting to notice your loss? At my office, I am not all that nice, but people generally like me. When I was down 10-20-30 people noticed and commented. There is a woman I work with who no one likes. She is down 50 pounds and no one has said a thing.…

Mine is private. I am also not motivated by friends saying " yay you took a walk! ""Yay, you only had two hotdogs instead of four!" I know what I'm doing and happy with it. I don't need the world to know. Plus certain friends nitpick food and that I can live without. And I don't have a social media worthy face.

I know of a girl who was on hcg and lost a lot of weight. Five or so years later, it's looks as though she had gained it all back.

I can go through a drive through and eat a chicken sandwich and a burger SO FAST , it's like it never even happened.
-
Congrats on your accomplishment! Wishing you the best for your future.

I always say "Have fun!".

Like I said, the above posters had great advice. I'd give them a second or third read. Good luck!
-
Seems like you're still overthinking it :) very good advice given above. Couldn't you just try it for a couple months and see how it goes? With nursing and barely able to handle maintenance , you've got to expect it to be frustrating, and accept a slow loss. I say this in kindness.

This. I thought I would be a binger ( is that a word?) and a craver forever, but when I hit my macros ( lower carb, higher protein + fat) the cravings disappeared. Mindless eating is an entirely different thing, but with the Macro business, I really have no cravings to fight anymore.

Chewing, banana smacking, nibbling with front teeth, saliva sounds, slurping, stirring with spoons in bowls, plastic bottle crunching, foot tapping, my own kids whining or sometimes even laughing. Feels like a knife to the brain. Doesn't happen everytime , but certainly a lot. And more irritating with certain people. Some…

@ninerbuff -great post ! For years I thought needed support from someone, I don't even know who, anyone who could help me. People everywhere saying I need an "accountability buddy" . After 10 years of ww leaders, hospital nutritionists, and kind friends, I am still super fat. None of those people scare me enough into…

I am going to wear shorts.
