This is off topic - but do they really work?! I keep thinking about getting some but haven't yet.

The program you'll stick to is the one you enjoy. You've already purchased the DVDs so I'd start there and also include walking/running, light lifting, etc into your routine to keep things interesting. I have friends who swear by PiYo but I've never tried it.

Wow - thank you to everyone who has posted - you are inspiring! I'm 5'2", currently at 201 pounds. The weight is coming off very, very slowly (and that includes working out 3-4 times a week and staying at 1200 calories!) but it's coming off. Other than a brief foray to 193 last winter, this is the lowest I've been able to…

There's so much wisdom here! Many people already said "It happens. Log it and move on". They're SO right. And @CMNVA also had a great suggestion - if it came from your house, don't bring it in anymore. And if you do, log it and move on! You can do this!

First - you're amazing. You've stuck with this for five weeks, lost weight, walk four times a week and reached out to the community here. I love real cream in my coffee. If a restaurant only has 2% or skim, I won't even order it! I'm also working on 1200 calories a day and I get it - I routinely prioritize cream in my…

What an amazing transformation! I always appreciate success stories and use them for inspiration - thank you! Plus, 1805 days logging - that's incredible - way to go!

Everyone above has already said it -you look like a totally different person! Way to go!

I'm not sure what duromine is, but losing 7kgs in a week is crazy! On an ongoing basis, you can expect to realistically lose 1-2 pounds, or just under a kilo max! A lot of times the first weight lost is water because you're probably eating fewer/less processed foods and exercising (sweating) more. Sorry to burst your…

I like something light and protein oriented - a hard boiled egg, yogurt, maybe a smoothie if I feel like getting things dirty. Also, as much as I love fruit - not after a workout. It just makes me hungrier!

just added you!

They make a great garden salad (and if you eat tuna, they can add that). You can also order from the kids menu and get grilled cheese (what I usually do) and it comes with a small custard!

I've got about 50 to lose but my first goal is 25. I'm adding you all! We can do this! And just fyi - to add someone as a friend, click on their name, and then click on their name again and it will give you an option to send a message or add them as a friend.

I just got a set of three kettlebells from Walmart on sale (online). I started using them at the gym and wanted some at home for the days where I just won't get there. I really enjoy using them and it's a good intensive workout and I don't spend nearly as long in the gym! Thanks to everyone who posted above about books and…

Thank you so much for sharing! You look great and I love that you took the time to "pay it forward" with advice for those of us at the beginning (or middle ) of our journeys!

Hi - I found a Eat for Life/Dr Joel Fuhrman thread somewhere here at MFP - just search for it and it should come up. Not sure if you're doing his plan but he is definitely a vegan no oil, salt or sugar person. If you aren't familiar with him - he's also got a few cookbooks (and I definitely recommend the book!). He uses…

I'm an aspiring vegan and most of my meals would easily fall into the vegan category. A few things I do: 1. huge salads 2. lots of rice and beans in various combinations. 3. buddha bowls with rice and all sorts of veggies and tofu 4. Tasty Bites has packaged Indian Food and a lot of their varieties are vegetarian. 5. Stir…

Just two thoughts to add to the what the wonderful people here have already written: 1. The responses you've received so far from your thread - this is what makes MFP a great community. They've offered strength, acceptance, ideas, a little tough love, motivation and support. Stick around, read the board, add some people as…

I should have taken a picture, but I ate it all before I thought about it. Tonight I made carrot noodles with my little (crappy) hand held spiralizer. Most of two ginormous carrots filled a large frying pan with carroodles (just made that up...). I steam/sauteed them for a few minutes and then added a few tablespoons of…

great job! 46 to 40 is fantastic!
