Congrats on your success! Finding the weight you can reasonably maintain is prob more important than total satisfaction with your appearance, at least the part of your appearance you get from losing. With weight training, much more is possible. Find a healthy weight you can maintain, then weight train to get as close to…

Sounds like you’ve got a good thing going! The hardest part for me is the only water/tea during fasting hours. If I could have zero or very low cal drinks in that time frame I woukd be a lot more successful. How did you handle it?

Outstanding! One fit mom right there!

What a happy looking girl you are!

Loved those jeans, didn’t know they still made them! Fun 😃

I started weight training about 2 years before I got serious about my diet, I was 50. Although I didn’t lose weight (only diet can do that in significant amounts), I got so much stronger and in such better shape. Started really seeing the difference in only a couple months. A couple years later I had lost the weight (about…

You must be incredibly proud! Bet you feel fantastic!

Tried it, saw nothing you cannot get here. As a try anything dieter, I was hoping for some new psychological perspective. Guess what: there’s nothing new... not a bad product, might be helpful to someone new to dieting.

I've been finding this too! It's tough because I've been chubby my whole life, so this new side of things is tricky to navigate. On one hand it's flattering, but on the other hand it really makes me bitter toward society, and wonder what life would have been like if I had made the life changes sooner.[/quote] It’s hard not…

You have an adorable face in the befores! Congrats on the progress!

@IremiaRe look out rocks! 😃 Thanks for the advice!👷♀️🔨

@whathapnd - first, is your name a reference to a Christopher Guest movie, maybe A Mighty Wind? If so, we’d get along great. Thanks for the encouragement. I’d congratulate you on handling all you have, and never getting further out than 35 lbs! At times, with a calendar full of doc appts - our own or the ones we’re driving…

@AnnPT77 thanks for so many great tips! You have truly been through it, I admire your attitude and drive! I’m going to think about all you’ve said, so appreciate you taking the time to respond so fully 💚 @ktmiowa thanks for the empathy. When I tell people empty nesting has been much more difficult for me psychologically…

Thanks to the four of you for the reply. I found all of your responses helpful. I particularly like find something else I can control! Sounds funny but seems like it would feel good. And cutting processed sugar totally out would def help cravings. It felt good to articulate it to a few folks who would understand - thank…

One of my favorite success stories! We’re around the same age, you are incredibly inspiring! What an accomplishment.

I’ll join - my first MFP challenge! SW 8/20/18 225 CW 177.4 ❤️ Day goal 168 GW 145 I was pretty mindless in my eating the last 4 weeks, so I know several will come off quickly, then back to slower steady pace. Good luck everyone!

This discussion reminds me of a funny Seth Meyers joke: “A new study said “none” is the healthiest amount of alcohol to consume. Said every American, “Do we LOOK like people who care what’s healthiest for us?!?” 😂

I enjoy 3-4 beers a week (only 1-2 in an evening). I like Michelob Ultra at 95 cals, but anything that’s portion controlled (comes in single servings, not a pour) works for logging. If it’s Friday night and I only have 400 cals left, I can feel like I’m having a treat with a couple beers and some peel and eat shrimp! Not…

So cute!

I’m afraid you completely missed her point. However, your maintenance advice is useful. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Perfectly worded, and I can totally relate. Thanks to years of yo-yo-ing and messing with my metabolism, I’ll never be a “thin person”, even though I am thin (enough 😂). A person who has never been overweight can eat a lot more than a formerly overweight thin person. It’s just a fact, and thankfully can be managed - just…

Today is my one year anniversary on mfp, 365 days logged! From 220 to 156, it’s been an extremely useful tool. I’ve actually only been maintaining the last 3 months. I’m ready to start my second year back on the losing path, would like to get to 145. However long it takes, I’ll be here every day!

Your story made my day. You obviously have a great sense of humor and can poke fun at yourself - believe me, girls love that. Best wishes to you and your girl. Enjoy your wonderful future!

You guys look like your “before” pictures’ kids! Attractive either way but so much younger now! Enjoy.

Lost mine today. Worn it every day for 28+ years. Pretty crushed. It’s no joke, guys! Don’t trust you’ll feel it coming off your skinny fingers! (Congrats on skinny fingers though..)

It would not be effective, just as it wouldn’t have been on any of us fortunate folks posting in success stories the first 50 times we resolved to lose and failed. I believe nothing works until food finally begins to fail as a comfort, a fun pastime, or even a friend. Many people don’t truly believe being healthier would…

I knew life would be easier 60 lbs lighter, just didn’t know how dramatically easier it would be. Disney at 160 vs 220 - so much more fun. Riding rides, walking 12 miles a day, being hot, using public restrooms, looking decent after being poured on - all so much easier. I did gain a few pounds during that month of my son’s…
