I always have a set limit (in grams) for sugar that I try to stay under. I try to get at least half of my sugar from naturally occurring sources like fruit and vegetable. The other half I will get from breads, treats, or processed foods in general. My main goal with sugar consumption is to limit overall sugar regardless if…

I have also been considering adding collagen powder to my pancake batter and I just don't know how it will turn out. 😄 Collagen peptide powder dissolves well in warm liquids, but I am curious to see if I could bake with it. Hmmm.

I used to prefer black coffee 😄😄 because I cant drink dairy milk honestly, so I got used it and hooked on caffeine. I hated soy milk, and have a nut allergy so almond milk wasn't an option, BUT I recently tried oatmilk and love it. I brew Maxwell House Dark French Roast coffee and it is my very favorite. I also add…

This might be counter intuitive to having pms in the first place, but I try to exercise more before and during my period. I always feel better from the exercise and it helps with cramps, inflammation, and cravings. On the flip side, I do also always keep 72% (or higher) dark chocolate in the pantry because it is satisfying…

Quick like less than 5 minutes? Honey wheat toast with sunflower seed butter, and 1/2 sliced banana either on the side or on the toast. If you've got 10-15 minutes, fry an egg in olive oil, and make a quick breakfast sandwich with a toasted whole wheat english muffin.

Collagen. Every morning the first thing I do is brew 2 cups of coffee and stir in 2 scoops of beef collagen peptide powder. This adds 18g of protein to my morning breakfast before I've even eaten anything. Collagen powder is tasteless, and dissolves extremely well in warm/hot liquids. It doesnt change the consistency of…

My commonly logged foods disappear sometimes, if I havent entered in a while. I have to rescan items occassionally. I havent ever had issues with my personal recipes, though.

Morning Star brand Chik'n Nuggets. They are vegan and yet, when baked, have this weirdly addicting flavor and crispiness that my highschool cafeterias real-chicken meat nuggets had. 😄😄 It's a pleasure food for me, because it is plant based and still has a sort of induldgent flavor profile I feel like it's a win-win. I'd…

Organic sunflower seed butter. I have a nut allergy so I can't enjoy pb, or nutella, or anything with ground or tree nuts. I like Sunbutter brand. I use their Natural version, it has added salt and sugar but I prefer that flavor. They do make an organic version, that is simply roasted sunflower seeds. Also, consider the…

I usually have a whole wheat english muffin every morning. I make a breakfast sandwich with 1 fried egg and 1 peice of bacon or sausage. I fry the egg in olive oil. I like it as a sandwich because it keeps my portion small and manageable. I do have pancakes or buttered toast occasionally. If you like whole grain foods, you…

I have definitely been able to lose weight through walking. I dont just walk, usually I will incorporate elliptical training into my cardio but honestly if I can walk I prefer to walk. Pros of walking to lose weight -slower pace so its easier to maintain as a routine -you can walk outside if the weather is nice, bonus is…

Yeah if youre gonna eat wings eat wings. Just dont have too many. Have wings with dipping sauce and enjoy it. If you peel the skin off every tiny wing you're really just wasting your money.

The past year or so I have had that mindset. Dress chicken with: Olive oil Coarse Pepper and Sea Salt Parsley Basil Oregano Chopped garlic Tumeric Lemon or Lime zest And a healthy drizzle of siracha hot sauce ( it adds so much flavor and cookes down into the chicken; isnt too "saucy") -- if you really dont want the Siracha, try Berbere or Cayenne Pepper dry…

Pickles! Its what I go to when I have cravings for salty junk food during the day. If i need more calories Ill have hummus with vegetables. Depending on my calorie needs I might eat hummus with bread or crackers. Also, melon, berries, and bananas are great snacks when i want sweetness that is nutritious. Sometimes dark…

I understand where youre coming from. Today I had a few unhealthy items but in very small portions. It can be frustrating recording these small items but at least I am not deprived and I know exactky what I have eaten. Try adding healthy cooking oils to your stir fry or baked meats to get additional calories to meet your…

Hmm this is worth a try imo. There's a few good spots for a scale in my kitchen. And funny enough I actually trip over the scale in the bathroom all the time.. :D

Girl I understand where you're coming from. *hug* I struggle with the part of myself that wants control over food and wants to organize every aspect of my diet.

I don't really understand the ratio aspect but I have tried intermittent fasting and found it helps so much with bloating and digestion at least for me. I may incorporate it more in my routine.

I have used Lose It before and its also pretty good for calorie tracking. MFP has a good reputation too though so I thought I'd give it a solid try. :)
