  • me me! I am in this for the long change.
  • We seem to be in a similar spot. I started at 332 at my heaviest and got down to around 305 and then stopped and maintained that for 6 months or so. But I still wasn't happy so I restarted in January and am down to 289. Would love to have someone in the same boat to chat with.
  • It sounds like we're in a similar place with similar goals. I'm 30F. I started at 332lbs and am currently down to 289. I started last March and kind of got off of tracking and focusing over the summer and into fall, but I started it back up after the holidays and am seeing results again and it feels great. I would love to…
  • I got all the way up to 332lbs when i finally was like 'no', this is too much. I am not gonna let this go up any more. I've had a rocky path over the past year and have given up logging at times, but i am not giving up on my goals and have come back to it. I am currently down to 290 and am determined to keep going. Feel…
  • I can relate to everything you've said. It's not easy but I think it really really helps to have someone to talk to regularly about whats going on, the ups and the downs. I'm about where you are, started at 332 eleven months ago. I've gotten down to as low as 288, but am at 296 right now. It not linear. There will be…
  • As someone who has dieted in unhealthy ways in the past, I will just say this is absolutely not true. I was at least 75lbs overweight, for reference. When I dieted unhealthily, I would eat 400-500 calories a day. sometimes less. Because of this there would be times where I would be simply walking or doing something…

  • I started at 332 and am down to 288. It is not easy and it is not fast. But it can be done. Just be patient, understanding, and honest with yourself along the process.
  • I'm always looking for people I can relate to in terms of age and goals! And our stats are startlingly similar, though i'm not quite as young as you lol. 29/F Height: 5'10" SW: 332 CW: 291 GW 142 I am actually in school now also. I went to film school out of high school, but I just wasn't as passionate about it, so I went…
  • Yep. it was totally the salt. I had a good loss this morning. Hey, I learned something... salt is not your friend lol
  • Followed my calories all week. I had sushi twice which is pretty healthy, but a bunch of soy sauce which is all salt. Only explanation I can think of as to why I have almost no loss. Won't make that mistake again! SW: 303 (July 1) 296 (July 9) 293.8 (July 15) 293 (July 22) Week's Loss: .8 lbs Total July Loss: 10 lbs
  • Feeling a little disappointed in my loss. I had gotten used to 4-5 lbs a week. And I didn't cheat! Oh well. SW: 303 (July 1) 296 (July 9) 293.8 (July 15) Week's Loss: 2.2 lbs Total July Loss: 9.2 lbs
  • my starting goal was to lose 190 so close to what you have. I'm down 37 lbs. It is getting harder, the weight doesn't fall off quite like it did in the beginning. i started out in february (kind of fell of in may and june where i maintained my loss but wasn't losing), my hope is to reach my final goal by next october, so…
  • 29 here and I know how you feel. Would love to have lots of friends around my same age/situation aka no marriage/kids.
  • I have been trying to lose weight my whole life. Up and down and up again. This time I'm ready to make it for good. • it's about 100 calories less with the peanut butter. 200 less with just the banana. maybe thats not a lot to you, but when you are strictly counting calories thats a ton. but hey if you'd rather just eat regular ice cream, be my guest.
  • I started at 332 and am down to 302, still got a long way to go to get to my goal of 145, but i know its not a sprint! takes time and dedication so just going one step at a time.
  • you might want to try looking at recipes on this site: https://www.budgetbytes.com/ it's not all advertised as healthy, but i'm sure there are some. they break everything down by prices per recipe and per serving, it's really great. I make the dragon noodles (https://www.budgetbytes.com/spicy-noodles/) all the time as a…

  • started with 190 to lose, already down 15.
  • I've tried to pick an event (or several) that I just want to feel good and look good at. My sister got married in november and i was probably at my heaviest point then. It was devastating to not feel pretty on a day like that and to know that those pictures would be around and be special forever. So I said I'm not letting…
